Perryman's Bakery
At Perryman's Bakery we make superior products, using premium ingredients, backed by over 90 years of tradition and a reputation for quality. We offer a range of catering options for corporate and private functions, along with customised celebration cakes. It's that time again! As you may be aware, our goods are baked daily, and our bakers have added Hot Cross Buns to their daily bake.

Our Hot Cross Buns are made with Premium Dried Fruit and South Australian Laucke Flour. We are proud of our traditional recipe and we invite you to enjoy them this Easter season. Available in traditional Fruit, yummy Chocolate, decadent Sourdough and also available for order are Fruitless. Our buns happen to be vegan friendly too, so that's a bonus!
Services
Our sourdough bread is made using the traditional method, which uses the natural process of fermentation to develop the dough over two days. The result is an airy but substantial loaf of freshly baked bread, free of preservatives and added gluten. Our sourdough breads come in a variety of flavours including Olive and Rosemary, Fig and Fennel, Multigrain and Light Rye.
Perryman's cakes can be customised for all occasions, including birthdays, engagements, baby showers, and weddings. Please call the bakery on 82672766 if you would like to discuss a larger cake or specialty cake that is not listed below. We can also arrange for our regular products to be made in larger sizes for celebrations e.g.
At Perryman's Bakery we pride ourselves on quality and consistency. All of our products are handmade onsite daily, using premium ingredients that are locally sourced where possible. All of the meat we use comes from the local butcher situated just across the road from us at Tynte Street Quality Meats.
24 Hours notice is required for all weekday orders. Weekend orders are required to be placed by 5:00pm Thursday. If you require an order outside of these timeframes, please call the bakery to see if we can accommodate your needs. Delivery is available Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm within a 15km radius of North Adelaide for a fee of $15.

This Bakery has changed little since I first visited in the 1950's. Still excellent quality, a good range of products, friendly service and reasonable prices. They now have a few tables setup outside, a great way to enjoy lunch.

Years ago people who stole bread were sent to Australia and I can bet it wasn't nearly as amazing as the ciabatta loaf from perrymans, if it was then I can see why. How lucky am I and nobody else will beat them, good work bakers!

Easily one of the best sausage rolls I've ever tasted! Dense meat inside a lovely crunchy pastry, with an excellent amount of tomato sauce injected in. 10/10 would highly recommend! 😄

I Absolutely adore corner bakeries, especially when they produce the goods these guys do. We purchased a loaf of bread, exceptionally fresh and tasty. We also purchased some sweet pastries, very delicious. Will be coming back for more.

The bread here must have changed because the quality has dipped hard. The shape of the bread has dipped and is torn 9 times outta ten. Managed to get an amazing loaf the other Saturday a few weeks back. Hope they stick to the old way as the new bread just dosnt look right. Will only be coming in on Saturdays as it seems the bread is amazing on this day!!

Amazing sweets and pastries that are always so fresh and high quality. Staff are super efficient and friendly. Also love their packaged goods (like the gingerbread baby biscuits) that make great little gifts!

We tried croissants (good but cold, wasn’t offered to toast it), cheese and veg pasty (good )and Cornish pasty (very fatty).
Though sitting outside is beautiful, they don’t provide any plates, so it’s not really a sit down place, it’s more like on the go.

I bought 4 pasties this morning. 2 for me and 2 for Mum. They were over cooked! Dark brown hard pastry. not to mention the mess they made due to nothing but flakes everywhere. They were disgusting! A total waste of $16.

I ordered a dozen hot cross buns yesterday ( spoke with Sonia), & I specifically asked that I would pick up the order at 10am today. I arrived 10 mins. early, from the other side of town, in peak hour traffic only to be told that my order would not be ready until 10.30am ! I am not impressed with Perryman’s service.. either there is poor communication within the bakery or there is opportunistic greed !

A very nice bakery which takes you back to the early 1900s when this bakery was established.
Had a great feel to it which adds the experience and food.
We had coffees and beestings. Best beesting I've had. Not too rich or sickly.
Staff was reasonably friendly and I really loved the complementary ginger bread persons.
