Elite Driving School is located in Hobart, Tasmania and provides complete driving school instruction for people wishing to learn to drive in Southern Tasmania. Our Instructors have completed accreditation and can now conduct L2 Licence Assessments. We conduct these assessments in Hobart, Glenorchy, Eastern Shore, Sorell and New Norfolk.

Services
Proprietor and owner Mr. Barry Hooper ran the statewide service for all Tasmanians. In 1967 his daughter, Christine Boyd, entered the family business and has since taken on the role of running the school. Christine's son, Shannon Boyd, entered the Industry as Tasmania's youngest driving instructor, in 2005.
Personal Statement: I believe that education is the key to improving road safety and saving lives on Australian roads. I am passionate about teaching students not only how to drive but of road safety and the responsibility that all drivers have when they are using our roads. Personal Statement: I find teaching students to drive a very rewarding career.
At Elite Driving School we offer full 1 hour lessons which include a door-to-door pickup service, within reason. Our current price for a 1 hour lesson is $70. 1. Students must have a valid Tasmanian Learner Drivers Licence before any in-car sessions begin. Students must present this and their log-book to their instructor every lesson.

Twice now I've seen an elete driving school car with a single driver speeding, and weaving through rush hour traffic. Other people i know have seen the same thing. Really aggressive driving. I saw one come up from behind, in a brooker highway slip lane, at speed, and force its way in frount of a driver who had to break heavily, to avoid an accident. The elete driver then just sped off, as though they had done nothing wrong, changing lanes, apparently at random.

I have been driving for years on and off unconfidnetally! Had tryed two other driving schools in hobart, after my driving lesson with elites driver Shannon, I felt extremely able, even considering i hadn't driven with him before. I have more to learn but his knowledge and patience has given me immediate confidence and clarity on the road!!! 100% recommend this business

Extremely disappointed with my lesson today with Les!! I’ve tried different driving instructors in Hobart But he’s the worst one. He SHOULD NOT teach a learner if he’s not patient enough. I thought getting & paying instructor will motivate & inspire me to learn driving & improve my driving skills but my experience today made me lose my confidence. What a waste of time & money.

Hands down the best driving school in hobart, i felt comfortable, confident and treated with the utter most respect.
My driving instructor shannon boyd (automatic) was excellent and helped me successfully obtain my provisional licence! He taught the how to paralel park in 1 go and now it is my favourite maneuver in a car.. it looks hard but the way he teaches you makes it soo easy! You will not be dissapointed if you chose elite driving school!
Also lady on the reception desk is so kind and helpful.
