I booked a room here on line through agoda. Funds were withdrawn from my bank account. When we arrived the property was closed with a keypad for entry. A sign states "use last four digits of either your booking number or mobile number for access. We could not gain access all pin entries were denied. When we tried to chase a refund for our ruined night we were told by the hotel management to chase agoda for a refund and agoda pointed us back to the hotel. Incapable of running this place properly. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful little respite with interesting historical background. Worked out well for us as a peaceful retreat after exploring Sydney for the first time. The tram is very convenient and the town has a laid back beach vibe. The tram is new and SUPER SLOW. So you might want to enjoy it when you're not in a hurry, and you can see more as you go along. Busses are much faster. The service has been excellent and very friendly. The whole place has a BNB vibe, although no restaurant, there are a number of little places nearby. We enjoyed a Cafe called 169 and a Vietnamese place called Bambuu

We recently stayed at Avonmore on the Park for our anniversary. We didn't want the hustle and bustle of the city but didn't want to be far away either and Avonmore on the Park was the perfect in-between.
We really enjoyed our weekend there. We loved the beautiful Victorian building, the garden, our room and the place generally. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was comfortable, clean and cosy which was what we wanted for our weekend away. This place is a gem and we're glad we found it cause we will definitely be staying here again.
