DO NOT Book this hotel!
Booked four weeks before our trip.Arrived at 9pm with two children, which we had put on booking details what time we would arrive. The hotel looked old and scruffy. The man on reception looked confused to see us and then said that the computers were down and they didn’t know who was coming and that they had no family rooms available which we had booked. Started making phone calls to try’s me get his ‘friend’ at another place to put us up. Was really dodgy and the kids were scared so we managed to phone another hotel to get somewhere else to stay. It turns out this

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
Made a booking through booking.com, when we arrived to the hotel with a 5 year old after spending the day at Winter Wonderland we were told by the chap on reception that they had cancelled our room, no notification, we were told that they had advised booking.com of the cancellation and after spending an hour trying to sort it out we still had nowhere to stay. I leave one star as and I quote "out of feeling sorry for us" he asked a neighbouring hotel if we could have a room, which we had to cram all 3 of us into a double room. If I could elave 0 stars I would.

I had to put 1 star on here to even write a review but this has to be the most disgusting over priced hotel I have ever had the misfortune of staying in !! The photos of the inside of the hotel and rooms are most DEFINITELY NOT true or correct , I don’t know when they were taken but I was there this weekend and it most certainly did NOT look like the photos !! Massively over priced you would be better taking a tent and sleeping on the street , on arrival should have closely inspected but was running late for a night out so didn’t pay much attention till got back after the night out . Couldn’t

Now called 'The London Hotel'. I stayed here with 2 friends last night and was satisfied. The location of the hotel is amazing, the gentleman who checked us in was very friendly & assisted us with maps & telling us which buses were the best. The room was ideal for our needs, a double & a single with a basic bathroom & mini fridge. Rooms had been recently decorated I think & that added to the experience.
It is what we expected for our money & the staff were very friendly! Would definitely use again due to the location & price. Breakfast was good - great cheesy omelette but more of a selection would

Unless you want to get eaten alive by bed bugs, by all means stay at this dumpster fire. There was a blob of dried blood on floor. They are trying to renovate. Trying being the key word and failing being a more accurate description. Unsanitary and utterly gross. Breakfast was nice and staff was friendly.

Hamiltons really earns it's two stars. Don't look for a sign that says Hamiltons, that's on a small brass plaque by the door. The large letters that identify it are "London Hotel" We spent a happy hour or so trailing up and down looking for it.
The staff were lovely and friendly and definitely the best thing about the place . Very pleasant people.
The rooms are large enough to fit a bed in and get round the edge. The toilet/ shower is a build in within the box room.
The window sort of closes, if you yank it. The plug sockets work but wobble on the wall, the towel is replaced daily and folded

1. The mysterious lump behind the wall paper that grew over the 2 nights we stayed; because it was filling up with water ! And directly below was electrics and wires; if this was to pop this would have potentially caused a fire.
2. The roof of the bathroom, because they was too lazy to box the bathroom all the way to the top in the room, had various fibres and building materials left. Now as a person who suffers from asthma, this is terrifying and could trigger asthma off, sleeping in such a cramp room as it was, at any time. But let's forget the asthma...this is not okay for any property - no

Horrific experience, absolutely ruined my vacation. NEVER come here. I didn't see the other review about bed bugs until it was too late- my face and arms are covered in swollen bites. When I confronted the man at the front desk about the mice and other pests that were running across the bedroom floor all night he admitted to knowing about them and the bed bugs for some time but refused a refund!!! I wish I could leave negative stars!!!!!

This hotel should only be used at last resort. The rooms are super small, the bathrooms had black mold growing above shower and toilets clogged with most uses. The free WiFi was almost unusable and wall outlets seemed to work about 50% of the time. The only reason this gets a 2 star is staff was friendly at front desk and breakfast. I would not recommend due to cleanliness and room size. Many better hotels at same price point.
