We are a vibrant Surry Hills staple from way back. Located on the corner of Crown and Cleveland Streets, we are in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Surry Hills, only minutes from everything. Ten minutes from the CBD and Sydney Airport, a ten minute walk from Central Railway Station and ten minute walk to Oxford Street, the Entertainment Quarter, Hordern Pavilion, Allianz Stadium & the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Our multi-story venue has a something for everybody, including a dedicated sports and TAB bar, private events space available for hire and boutique accommodation. So fancy a drink? Catching up with your mates to watch the footy? Celebrating an important milestone? Whatever it is, the Crown Hotel is the perfect destination!

Just received the most disappointing burger order of my 54 year lifespan. would've been lucky to cover a 50cent piece. was supposed to be a pepper steak burger. cams smothered in mustard. ordinary pepper sauce on the side. consisted only of steak, onion and copious amounts of mustard on a tiny slider bun. Luckily i am off to the footy and will be able to consume a pie (or two), yours sincerely, Mr severely dissappointed!!!

Having family who were locals and enjoyed the atmosphere, staffs familiarity with the locals I was on my way home and having purchased a bevy for home which was in my bag, unopened. Upon looking for my id the bottle was noted by the barman who actually lent over the bar.... this was used as a flimsy reason to not allow me entrance..upon research I failed to find the rule which denied my entry. I was looking forward to a refreshing lemon water and a half hour of chance on the pokies.
I'm glad my father and the many old friends and locals are not alive to see the demise of their beloved crown. It

What I liked: The hotel staff was friendly at the time of greeting. The check-in process was straightforward, and we were show the room in no time. Room was clean and had a view of the main road. The best thing about this hotel was the location, as it was surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, supermarket, a pharmacy, and public transportation.
What I didn't like: It was slightly hard to find the entrance of the hotel, as it's located on top of the pub. The complementary continental breakfast is very basic, so we ended having breakfast outside of the hotel. There is no safe. No late check-out

This is basically one of those pubs that you go to if you really don't like inner city pubs, but you find that you happen to be in Sydney's inner city nonetheless. Basically it is what you would call a pokies venue, though they also have a sports bar, but then again they seem to pretty much go hand in hand at times. Honestly, I didn't particularly like it, probably because I prefer your typical inner city pub. Also, there wasn't a huge range of beers on tap either, so that sort of put me off as well.

I saw a recent video in which one of your staff tells refugee rights activists "we don't want you in here". I don't want to drink at a venue that discriminates against people for standing up for what's right.
The Crown Hotel claims that the police directed them to refuse service to the activists. I sent the Crown Hotel a private message in which I asked them to explain this story. I asked questions such as what the police said to them and why they believed that they had to cooperate. I received no reply.

This review is for the bar. So I stayed nearby and passed in on a Saturday. It was good for people watching and a live band. Completlety different story from our Sunday night experience. Me and my husband had passed by the bar initially to find a cafe to grab food. Since nothing was open we attempted to stop by on the way back since we had been the night before. The bouncer (who was of black decent) decided I (Mexican American) was fine but my husband (Asian American) was "too drunk" to enter. By no means were we drunk or close to it. After me pointing out to him that there was a guy

I came here once for an overnight 'staycation' - on a Saturday night, the price of a room worked out to be about $70 per person for two people, which I thought was a pretty good deal. The double room was very clean and modern, decorated in a grey and white palette and the same would-be Boticelli painting motif that adorns other parts of the boutique hotel.
As part of the Crown Hotel, which is primarily a nice pub downstairs, you just don't get the same service that you would at a dedicated hotel venue. On arrival, it was the bar manger who let us into our room, and he clearly didn

One of my friends had some time to kill one afternoon whilst waiting for someone so decided to step in to the Crown Hotel on the corner of Crown and Cleveland Streets in Surry Hills to pass away those few spare precious minutes.
In doing so he chucked 'couple of bucks' into a poker machine and won 'a couple of hundred' in no time. Now I'm not here to condone gambling but a few weeks later we decided to go in and thank the pub for its good fortune by having a drink and a meal. (No we didn't play the pokies).
The sign out the front states there are 'meals fit
