We loved the old world experience of this hotel. The games and lounge areas are just delightful, it’s like stepping back in time to something like a movie set of the Titanic! The prices are incredibly affordable. We cannot recommend a stay here highly enough but book over the phone or on email - the booking system doesn’t seem to be working. It was saying only one room available but the hotel was almost empty! We will be back!

On arrival we were met by friendly staff. We were delighted to find this building had traditional 30s style decor. You could choose between a variety of breakfast choices for $19. We had a cooked breakfast which consisted of sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, beans snd eggs served to the table, observing covid protocols. There were a number of other food options. We had tea and coffee which were both good.
The waiters were attentive without being annoying.
I'd have no hesitation in returning in future.

Absolutely fantastic!
We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Service was too notch from the moment we stepped foot into the dining room.
The food is so fresh, hot and cold selections, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs (both scrambled and poached), sausages, baked beans and hash browns all cooked to perfection. This is to name a few items. Fresh fruit was a hit with the kids.
Made to order light fluffy pancakes were the highlight.
Thank you to the chef and staff who made our start to the day so enjoyable.
We will be back.😊

The property is a beautiful old specimen of the period. The rooms were spacious and lots of beds. Items that would be expected in a 4 or 5 star hotel don’t really exist. Can’t charge your phone near the bed and the interior of our room was quite tired and the rug stained to the point of making you wonder if the place was in fact clean. Otherwise a quaint place.

The Metropole is perfectly located so one can enjoy Main Street Katoomba on foot with no need to drive or hire an Uber or a taxi. An evening’s entertainment or a lavish selection of good cafes and restaurants… are just around the corner. The Metropole has been upgraded from its early 1900s beginning and rooms have air conditioning and en suites. But this has not been at the cost of its old world charm with well stuffed leather armchairs, board games and lead-light windows on offer in their library. We like the old-fashioned charm of the hotel. The tariff is very reasonable and the

Our wedding reception was beautiful. Our family weekend was exceptional. Emilia went above and beyond with no task too hard. Emilia and the team turned the restaurant into a beautiful elegant and romantic venue. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional at all times. The rooms were lovely, bright, clean and the beds were comfortable. Our family and friends celebrated into the small hours but the venue was big enough that they did not disturb those who were sleeping. The Sunday family dinner was delicious And more than we asked for. Overall, our family and friends were treated with great

We booked two rooms for my family as its a last minute booking. Nice old charm building. Our room feels nice and warm when we arrived with towels and complimentary lollies and toiletries. My room on 12 has a… good view on both street is nice and spotless clean. Number 9 is a bit oldish but clean except for the mold bottom glass in the bathroom. Though the price of bar fridge is not expensive I believe water should be complimentary as I needed it for a coffee. Reception and Staff in dining area are so polite and you feel welcome. Over all I would rate them 4/5.

Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Our room was perfect, bed was comfortable, great linen! A BIG thank you to Val and Tim who greeted us for breakfast, in line with covid guidelines, we were seated and served our buffet breakfast. Tim was attentive ensuring we had plenty to eat and drink. Both were rushed off their feet considering the amount of people in the dining room and still managed to continue working with a good nature and personal touch. We will definitely stay again next time we visit the blue Mountains.
