At TrueHope Psychology, we care about your mental health and it is reflected in everything we do. We offer both brief and comprehensive therapy. Some of our services are described below. Some anxiety is a normal part of being a human being. Excessive anxiety is distressing, overwhelming, and incapacitating.

Darius is ready to work with you to identify the core causes at the root of your struggle with anxiety. Depression is a common experience for many Australians. It has many shapes and forms. Darius will help you understand what causes your depression, and methods that will assist with your recovery.
Services
TrueHope are experienced psychologists who support you to find real relief from distress and find genuine hope. They are experts at helping you to find inner strengths that you didn't know that you had, and connecting with you in an authentic, empathic, and non-judgemental way. They are all registered psychologists with a minimum of six years of university training and experience.
I love what I do. I'm passionate about helping people to find relief from their suffering and cultivate hope for the future. I approach therapy with a sense of compassion, patience, and a belief in the human capacity for growth. I always aim to create safe and welcoming space where you can openly discuss your challenges, personal sorrows, or heartbreak without fear of becoming overwhelmed or criticised.

By default, the majority of clients are seen via video. It provides you with the most personal experience.
TrueHope Psychology is the private practice of Darius Leo, B Psych (Hons), M Psych (Clinical). He is a clinical psychology registrar and registered psychologist. He also holds a Diploma in Community Services (Mental Health). Darius has a gentle and friendly approach to therapy. He is an integrative therapist and will use the psychological approach that best suits the patient's condition, circumstances, and personality.
None of us like to see our patients becoming distressed and upset. It makes us feel uncomfortable and pressured to do something to 'fix' the person immediately. This tip sheet will give you help you manage your clients distress, feel more comfortable working with people who are upset, and increase your rapport with your patients.
