Via Fratelli Woodfire Pizza Restaurant
Via Fratelli, located at 151 Waverley Road, Malvern East, serves traditional Italian cuisine with the aim of providing great tasting and fresh Italian food with the highest possible quality of service & hospitality. Unreal food, the Totti pizza is my weakness. Almost needed to go to rehab I was that addicted, but then I accepted my addiction and am all better for it.

Go to Via, you won't regret it! Been three times here and all times they have delivered. Pizza, Pasta, Antipasti, Dessert All of it was great!.my favourite was the gnocchi pollo fungi I highly recommend. My family and I decided to try this place on Saturday night. I had read some reviews on google and facebook that sounded good.
Services
Via Fratelli is well known around Melbourne for our woodfire pizzas. Our pizza dough is hand made and covered with the finest Italian ingredients, then baked the traditional Italian way, in a wood fired oven soaring at temperatures near 400 degrees. This method guarantees that every pizza results with a unique great tasting flavour and a superb crisp texture.
Via Fratelli is an ideal venue to cater for many special occasions including: Christenings, Birthday Parties, Communions, Confirmations etc. We have many fantastic set menu options to choose from including sharing Tapas & Pizza's to having a lovely three course meal. Speak to our friendly team for further information and organising your event that best suits you and your needs.

This restaurant has been a delight to eat at consistently over the past 5 years. Each of the 10+ dishes I have tried has been of great quality, each time, yet the menu remains diverse. The pollo funghi is of particular note. Additionally - the service has been exceptionally courteous and warm each time - from junior staff through to senior. It must be a deliberate initiative from management. Relative to other Italian restaurants in Melbourne the pricing is also exceptionally reasonable. Certainly recommended on all fronts

Sorry. One of the worst meals I've had in a long time. The lasagna was terrible. Clumpy Bolognese sauce and virtually no mozzarella. The panna cotta was grainy. Won't be returning any time soon.

Food was great and catered to our big group.
My steak was cooked perfectly. The pizzas and pastas were good portions and great flavours!
All of the staff except one were delightful, they were very attentive, very friendly and welcoming.
The gentleman bringing out food decided to drop the food in the middle of the table and said "sort this out yourselves" instead of delivering the food to the person who had ordered it. He didn't seem very happy.😕

A relaxed family style Italian restaurant. I’ve had many visits … always enjoyed / loved my meals. And the staff are friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our experience here! Incredibly tasty and fresh pasta, generous servings, short wait times, reasonable pricing AND super friendly waiters! It’s rare to find a restaurant that ticks all of those boxes! We’ll definitely be coming back in the future 😄

Decent pasta and pizza. Although it's definitely not $$, I enjoyed the pasta. The sauce is rich and flavourful, pasta is fresh. The pizza is great except its a bit greasy and soggy. But that might be because I left it sitting there for awhile. Portions are great and environment is cosy. Possibly coming back for a brunch session.

Visited Via Fratelli on the way back to the city from Inverloch and was looking for a good pasta feed. Via Fratelli came up on a Google search, so decided to give it a shot - and so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious: really tasty, flavoursome pasta in a thick, rich sauce, with a pleasing quantity of meat in the dish; a lot of places cheap out on the portion, or bulk it up with pasta, but I was so glad this restaurant was generous with the amount of meat in the dish. (Please keep this up! Customers do notice the difference and they appreciate it!)
Service was really friendly and attentive

It might look like your regular average pizza/pasta restaurant, but Via Fratelli is above that. The food is always really, really good and the service is pretty much always spot on. It's a very casual restaurant, and certainly not fine dining, but if you're wanting that good, comforting and homely meal, that's what you'll get here.
While I usually have their gnocci (which is always soft and beautiful) and have tried a chicken pizza once (and thoroughly enjoyed it), the last time I went, I ordered their special which was a homemade roasted pumpkin, sage and ricotta ravioli, with a delicious sage
