I am an Australian and UK trained Upper GI and Laparoscopic surgeon. I was trained mainly in the UK before completing an Upper GI Fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and this was followed by a Laparoscopic Surgical Fellowship in Canberra.
During my training, I completed a research thesis resulting in a Master of Philosophy Degree and I won the UK Intensive Care Society's Travelling Fellowship that allowed me to visit trauma centres in Denver, Memphis and Seattle.I was the first surgeon from Belfast ever to win the Gold Medal. I was awarded my Fellowship from the Australian College of Surgeons in 2006.

It is possible to reverse the gastric band but it should be remembered that the majority of patients who have the gastric band removed and do not have an alternative procedure will regain the weight that they have lost.
At present bariatric surgery is the most viable and cost-effective treatment for obesity and a number of other related conditions. Although an excellent option, surgery, combined with a thorough analysis and assessment, optimises your long term result. Here at Dr Lockie's practice we believe that behavioural, dietary, psychological, physical and medical considerations all play a role in long term weight loss.

Incredibly incompetent and negligent. Every common side effect of weight loss surgery will be diagnosed as dumping syndrome. Strictures, gallstones, reflux, all will be called dumping syndrome because it's impossible to imagine a patient can stick to a diet. If you'd like the opportunity to be fatshamed while you get permanent organ damage from malnutrition and starvation, this is the place for you.

Couldn't speak highly of Dr Lockie Team, my first surgery was great but after 12 mths, I started with complications, after some time we did the bypass and I am feeling great. This team has been with me every step of the way amazing follow up and and no question was left unanswered, I am extremely grateful to them for all their help

I was welcomed by a consulting lady for half a hour, tried to tell her my previous problems including the surgery I just got done, thyroid problems and poor digestive system, which she couldn’t cared less.
She just nodded and carried on with her introduction of the surgery that can cut most of my stomach off and cost more than 5,000 dollars.
No matter what the problem is it seemed to her the only and all mighty solution is the sleeve operation.
Even I clearly showed no interest in doing that she still shoveled a book of flyers in my hands at the door.
This place shows absolutely no concern
