Owners, Kevin and Pauline Lacy first built Kepala Pet Motel for dog and cat boarding in 1973. Their aim was for Kepala to become a 5 star establishment, offering top quality accommodation and care. Kennels, modern catteries, boutique suites and tropical landscapes were introduced - Kepala Pet Motel became Kepala Pet Resort.
Having realised that dream, they had a vision to provide a recreational facility that exceeded expectations and opportunities for dogs and their owners. In 2005 the Kepala Canine Country Club was opened, a place where dogs could run free off lead in safe enclosed play areas. They could take a swim in the heated pool or outdoor lagoon pool, run through sand or just chill out and watch the scenic landscape of Diggers Rest picturesque valleys.

Services
Our friendly and experienced staff, understand the needs and expectations of both customers and their pets and therefore are dedicated to ensuring a happy, safe and comfortable stay for your pet. Discounts are available for stays longer than four weeks or for family groups of three pets or more. All pets boarding for 7 days or longer will receive a complimentary hydrobath before departure.
All our kennels are indoors and undercover and quite spacious for one or two family pets. They all have heating for the winter months and cooling for the summer months. All kennels come equipped with a trampoline style bed. Owners are welcome to bring along any familiar items from home however these items must be clearly named.
The Luxury Suite This suite can cater for larger families of cats. A large, spacious cabin with a variety of climbing equipment, bird watching windows and virtual fish on our flat screen TV's makes it perfect for the more adventurous felines. Garden Cabins These cabins are spacious and suitable for up to two cats from the same family.
Cats - F3 This vaccine covers Feline Enteritis, Rhinotracheitis Virus & Calici Virus which both cause Cat Flu. Dogs - C5 This vaccine covers Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Bordetella and Canine Cough. Dogs that recieve the 3 year vaccination must still have the yearly canine cough vaccination. Please notify us of any special dietary requirements prior to boarding and on the arrival day.
Kepala Canine Country Club has been described as an oasis by many of our visitors. It's the sort of place where owners and their pets can come and picnic and have fun in calming surrounds. From the moment you enter the gates you and your dog will sense the tranquil and uplifting setting where you can escape the daily grind for either an hour or the whole day!

Thank you so much looking after Ruby while we went away. We have had a traumatic experience at a previous kennel… and Kepala took it on board and didn’t diminish it.
Ruby was happy and healthy when I picked her up, though she has spent the majority of the day sleeping. We will most definitely be back!

Kepala Pet Resort is always kept in amazing condition. The dogs love the grassed area to run around and socialise. The lagoon pool is fantastic. The dogs love having a swim. The Sandy run is great for zoomies after swimming. And the seperate agility area has lots of different things for them to try. The enclosed bbq facility is perfect for lunch for the humans.

This is such a great place to bring my boy, he swims, runs about on the grass, it lifts his spirits and the swimming really helps him right atrophy when he refuses to put weight on his previously broken leg, making him stronger. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and it's so inexpensive, every dog deserves a day out at kepala! Do it for yours!
