In 2008 The Cupcake Room opened as a boutique bakery just out of the Sydney CBD in Leichhardt. Since then it has been serving the local community as well as interstate visitors. In 2014 its original owner passed her oven mitts to Maria Georgiopoulos who renovated the bricks and mortar store and rebuilt the website opening the online store where customers can order cupcakes and have them delivered Sydney wide the same day!

Almost too beautiful to eat, our cupcakes are light and fluffy on the inside and decorated with deliciously sweet homemade frosting. All of our cupcakes are made from vanilla butter cake, with gluten-free batter options available at no additional cost.
We can now deliver your order contact-free! We understand that you might want to minimise contact in the current situation so just select contact-free delivery at checkout when you place your order and when our driver arrives he'll set your delivery down outside and call you! Just make sure you give us the correct mobile number for the recipient.
We've attempted to answer as many of your questions as we can in the FAQ below. We continually add additional information in this section but if there is any question you can't find the answer to please contact us. Deliveries are available from Tuesday to Friday, and orders need to be submitted before midday for same day delivery.

Stunning cupcakes as always. I had an issue with the first lot of cupcakes that was delivered and the ladies there were incredibly amazing at solving it, thank you my family loved them, as they always have. We've been buying from these guys for years and they never dissapoint. The brownies are to die for, and the cupcakes are just little taste of heaven. Thank you so so much for the lady who served us on the 11.12.2021 at 8am your kindness was much appreciated.

Regardless of they are good to their customers nor not, but this shop has no respect for workers time and efforts.
I had deliveries to be delivered from this shop, and when I was almost there they canceled the job for me and assigned it to another driver!! Claiming that he was already there!!
After being in traffic and skipping all the job on my way they just cancelled the job, despite of I did inform them that I was 5min away!
This is how they deal with workers, don’t be fooled by their upfront smile.

Ok the positives
1) Easy to find the store for pick up
2) Beautiful and deliciois cupcakes
3) It's nut free
4) they will happily attach the ingredients on the box for you if you ask especially if you are taking them to a school or to a childcare centre.
The Negs
1) No hello/ greeting as you enter the shop it became awkward, had to clear my throat after a while of trying to grab their attention. They were so focused on the job with their backs turned towards the counter.
2) Icing- there was alot of icing so much I had to scrape it off to taste the cupcakes
3) Size- first Cupcake order thought

I’ve been buying cupcakes here since my daughter was about 7 or 8. These cupcakes have been my go-to for visits or gifts or a sneaky treat for myself. They never disappoint they are really special because they are so cute, and so well made , not too sweet and nice and light and fluffy. I’ve bought other cupcakes before and can’t compare any to the Cupcake Room’s. Earlier this month it was my daughter’s birthday she asked for some

For $73 I felt these were very overpriced for what I received . Small cupcake with almost its weight in icing . They look pretty and our grandson liked them however you’ll end up scraping more than half of the icing off just so you can eat it . The cakes themselves were ok but nothing overly special . Customer service when I collected them was a bit underwhelming too . They barely even spoke a word to me which I thought was a little odd considering small businesses rely on repeat patronage .
