The Bondi mother-of-three says she first fell in love with the idea of SmashCakes when she made one for her eldest daughter's fifth birthday, ten years ago.Drawing on her expertise as an artist and former graphic designer, Claudia has created everything from skulls and racing cars, to Coke and Sprite bottles and makes mini take-home SmashCakes right up to a massive 6.2kg 'Everything But The Kitchen Sink' creation.

The SmashCake was amazing! Unfortunately, my brother in law did a horrible job videoing, so we will have to get another one next year and repeat the process. The parents too watched in anticipation, waiting to see what was inside the dome. Thank you for your quick, friendly & informative emails, it was a pleasure to deal with you and I will definitely recommend you.
Keep it in a cool dry area and do not put it in the fridge as this will cause the chocolate to bloom (turn white). We use a VIP courier company as we are transporting perishables, so depending on where you are, would determine the cost. If you have not received a reply from us, please check your "junk" folder as we have no control over this frustrating problem.

Hi Claudia I just wanted to thank you! Nina and her friends “baked” the smash cake box that you mailed out a few weeks ago. They all did it at the same time via zoom. I was so impressed. It was fantastically packed and so professional. The instructions were easy to follow and it took them all afternoon. Well done! Fabulous idea and brilliantly executed.

I could not highly recommend Claudia and Sydney Smash Cakes enough! By chance I came across the business during a google search a few weeks ago as I needed to organise a corporate gift for Roxy Jacenko upon… completion of a business course . Being based in Hobart, I needed to send the cake including the gift box I had already organised and wasn’t sure if this was logistically possible. From the very first email (after hours nonetheless), Claudia went above and beyond to make my idea come to life, from the offer to send her my package to include with the cake and personally courier

Thank you so so much Claudia! Turning 30 was a tad bit scary for me, so I loved the fact that I could ‘smash’ my cake to release the pent up fear that was inside me! I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED my cake ... and I will definitely be ordering another one! You were so pleasant to deal with ... and I felt so great knowing that I was supporting a small business with a big heart!
