StartPoint Counselling
Startpoint Counselling is an Essential Service and is able to operate during lockdowns. Face to Face appointments are available. If you would like to ensure your health and safety by staying home, Telehealth is available. Telehealth is very easy to use and offers face to face counselling via video.

Some of our clients have never come into our office but still have the same breakthroughs as somebody who has come into the office. If you are unsure whether you will like telehealth, we are offering the first 15 minutes of a session as a trial. If after the 15 minutes you are happy to proceed, you will be charged the full session price.
Services
We understand how relationships, family, finances, self-esteem, and self-worth are being impacted by our Society. Your bright happy future can be achieved by working with us and deal with any stress, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, traumas and or grief. All these emotions take their toll on our relationships.
Grief is the expression of the feelings that you experience when something important to you is lost. This can include the loss of somebody close to you, the end of a relationship, the loss of employment or the loss of something that you love. When you suffer loss, grief is a normal response. Grief is expressed in various ways including sadness, anger, shock and overwhelm.
The reason your relationship is currently in trouble will be the result of several factors. Ranging from childhood experiences through to the ways in which you react. To the pressures of your current relationship. It is hard to identify and rectify these yourself. We believe that a desire to understand yourself and others and a willingness to implement necessary changes, make relationship repair possible.
Do you wish there was a quick and simple way to repair and strengthen your relationship that would work despite your busy lifestyle? You need home to be a place where you are nurtured, a sanctuary away from the fights of everyday life. We were stuck in a rut with our long term relationship, going around and around the same issues, unable to break the cycle of miscommunication and misunderstanding.
Society is slowly changing their views towards members of the LGBT community. More and more gay men, lesbians, bisexual people and transgendered people are seeking Personal and Relationship Counselling. Unfortunately, despite the changing views of society, prejudice in society still exists.

Dealing with this prejudice, coming out to one's family and society and sorting out who you really are in the face of social expectations and pressures, can lead to higher levels of depression and anxiety for the LGBT community.A large number of LGBTI people hide their sexuality or gender identity when accessing services (34 per cent), at social and community events (42 per cent) and at work (39 per cent).

I cannot speak for the quality of the rest of the counselling team at Starpoint but Tracey was 5-Star. We connected on the first session. Her approach was empathetic yet direct. She broached the awkward questions, the ‘elephant in the room’, that others might have avoided or ignored. Tracey’s sessions would educate me and gently challenge me with new perceptions. One needs to feel comfortable, to feel a ‘fit’, with their counsellor; there’s not a one size fits all. If you’re seeking a therapist who is non-judgemental, who inoffensively calls a spade a spade, and who goes the extra

I must say Tracey is the best in the biz, if you want someone that gets straight to work on you and your significant other she is the woman for the job. I love that she doesn’t sugar coat anything and gives you her absolute honest opinion whether you want to hear it or not. It’s exactly what I needed and I can’t thank you enough.

Going here has been a huge step in my life, truthfully so.
Been able open up and talk comfortable with Tracey. At first I was anxious as hell, but I was able to overcame most it after three sessions, and I'm gradually feeling better about a lot of things. Takes time, but the small tidbits with each individual thing has helped a lot. Was able to understand a whole lot about what I've been personally dealing with, as well.
Still going now and the sessions each time have been great, from just recapping the past week or so, or discussing something recent and wrapping my head around it.
I'm understanding

Thank you so much.
Tracey was wonderful, thought I would feel uncomfortable before our first visit, but in no way the case. Her anecdotes were comical and relevant. Surprised at how effective and quickly, we have overcome our issues thanks to her support and help.
Very much appreciated have her time, knowledge support and guidance, and highly recommend the team at StartPoint.

Tracey Janke helped my wife and I when we were struggling with our relationship early after being married, if not for her guidance and knowledge of how men and women's behaviour work our marriage would have ended.
We've had a few sessions with Tracey since both as a couple and solo for the issues we needed to work on. My wife is more confident than ever now that she's worked on her own issues with Tracey. If you're unsure about counselling, I can tell you that it's the best money we've ever spent and that you will get more than you pay for.

After a bad experience with a psychologist, I was cautious to speak to a professional again but I am so glad I did. Tracey helped me to recognise my purpose and accept and embrace my personality. I can’t thank Tracey enough for the impact she has had on me in such a small amount of time and would recommend her to anyone feeling lost or uncertain about any aspect of their life.
