We are a GPA Accredited practice having been assessed to meet the accreditation quality standards of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Services
Our doctors and skilled practice nurse can carry out immunisations and offer a full examination and screening health check (including growth and development) if required. Routine immunisations are provided free of charge, and all children under the age of 5 are bulk billed. For routine checks please bring your child's Blue Book, and let us know if you have any specific concerns you wish to discuss.
All of our doctors are able to give advice and prescriptions for contraception and sexual health. Dr. Fiona Collins has a special interest in this area and is qualified and experienced in LARC (Long Acting Reversable Contraception) including fitting and removing contraceptive Implants (Nexplanon) and Mirena or Copper (nonhormonal) IUDs (Intra Uterine Devices) - please book an initial consult with her if you wish to discuss any of these.
The number of elderly people in the Northern Beaches area is increasing dramatically, and often with increasing age managing health care becomes increasingly complex. We offer elderly health care checks and immunisations, and assistance with managing long term conditions or mobility problems. A key part of our role may be coordinating different health services for you, including referrals and accessing allied health.
We can perform assessments for fitness to work, travel or sport. We would like to offer you a health check including blood pressure and heart disease risk factors, screening for bowel cancer, testicular or prostate problems. Our doctors are experienced in discussing sexual concerns and sexual health screening, including erectile dysfunction.
Good mental health is paramount to good physical health and all of our doctors can help with stress, anxiety, depression or any other concerns you may have. We work closely with several clinical psychologists and if necessary we can help with a GP Mental Health Plan which enables access to Medicare-funded psychologists.

I have spent most of this year trying to find a GP who can help give me some answers behind my chronic pain, which numerous Drs have been unable to diagnose. I have seen Dr Collins 3 times now and finally I’m on the right path. Dr Collins is extremely knowledgeable, kind and caring. I highly recommend and couldn’t thank her enough!

Dr Ethel Gilbert is my favorite doctor - ever! 20 years in New York City, I realised the need for new professional health practitioners once I moved back permanently to Sydney's Northern Beaches. I had resided previously in the city's Eastern Suburbs, but relocating to Mona Vale meant I needed to change to more local doctors. Even during 2020 while still in the US, I was able to chat with Ethel and for her good, down to earth, practical advise via a zoom. I could not be happier with the choice I have made, and knowing I have found a sincere, smart, practical and kind doctor - the opposite experience

It is rare these days to have an excellent experience every time you visit a place of business.
This happens at Gilbert Collins Medical Practice Mona Vale.
This practice is a huge departure from the traditional Doctors Surgery. Happy smiling and exceedingly competent caring group of medical professionals all the way from Reception to the Doctors.
And this is reflected by the Practice Nurses, Plobotomist, Podiatrist, audiology and child psychologist.

I love the Dr's - they always make you feel comfortable and don't rush the appointment, they really listen and are extremely proactive. I believe its important to be consistent so you build a relationship with your dr and they know you and your changing health needs which is why I prefer to use this surgery as I feel they offer a personal approach. In relation to womens health, I find the dr to be wonderful

I first attended this practice in 2017 on the recommendation of Mr Paul Beaumont my neighbour and noted ophthalmologist.
I had an initial consultation with Dr Gilbert who proceeded to ask me a million questions regarding my medical history.
After a while she said Robin, now I understand you, to which I replied, you are the only woman who ever has.
Seriously though, from the friendly and efficient receptionists, to the way Dr Gilbert has always treated me honestly and with typical Scottish
no nonsense efficiency my concerns have left me, and I am reassured that her treatments will solve my medical

When my Doctor retired 5 years ago I was devastated thinking I would never find anyone as good. I was wrong. I love coming here and bring my family. My mother also comes now and is really happy. They listen and take the time. They work with you to help you get answers when something is more complex. Couldn’t be happier.
