Services
Our clinic began in 1994 when David Parker and Belinda Coulton, who both had practices in North Balwyn, joined forces and formed the Kew Osteopathic Clinic (KOC). The original clinic was located at 25 High St. Sth. in Kew, just up the road from the tram depot. Three years later Belinda Coulton moved to Orbost and Paola Perin, who had been with the clinic since its inception, took over as an owner and partner of KOC.
The discipline of Osteopathy is based on the examination methods and treatment modalities developed by Dr Andrew Still in 1874. Learn more about the history of Osteopathy and the kind of conditions that underscored Dr Andrew's work. In the words of Dr Still, founder of Osteopathy, the philosophy of Osteopathy may be summed up as: It is the object of the doctor to find health.
Firstly and foremost Osteopathic treatment is based on principles outlined by Dr Still. The ones mentioned above are two of the most important and they make Osteopathy unique. There are many more Osteopathic principles, on which we won't go into detail here. Osteopaths can interpret these principles differently, resulting in a diverse range of practitioners in our profession.
Kew Osteopathic Clinic has been treating work injuries throughout its history. All Osteopaths at the clinic are registered with WorkSafe Victoria. When looking at work-related injuries it is very important to work with the patient's General Practitioner in coming up with a return to work treatment plan.

Yvette at Kew Osteopathic is one of the best health care professional I’ve ever seen. After years of seeing dodgy chiropractors, it wasn’t until I started seeing Yvette that my weekly headaches are now a rarity. She’s genuinely passionate about helping people, and is incredibly good at treating tricky problems.

Kew Osteo was a fantastic experience for me. Having never visited an Osteo before I was unsure of what to expect or if they could help. I had several different injuries over 6 months due to being a mature aged basketball player and they never failed to fix me up and have me playing within a week and pain free. I have now moved to NSW so won't be a loyal customer anymore but I highly recommend the services of the staff and the admin ladies also made it a welcome place to visit.
