Catherine is an experienced psychotherapist who has worked in public and private mental health for over 20 years. This level of experience has given Catherine a deep understanding of the complexity of each individual in their personal environments, and formed her view that people are social beings and desire a connection with others, even if this feels difficult.
Psychoanalytic theory is the framework for Catherine's practice, and her individual therapy is guided by a deep, intuitive understanding of people and relationships. As a Psychotherapist, Catherine works on the basis that what has happened in the past, has an impact on who we are now, and how we relate to others.

Services
I have over 20 years experience working with adults in the public and private system. I've worked with all types of clients, with special expertise in those experiencing depression & anxiety, relationship difficulties and those dealing with personality disorders. This is what I believe. People need a safe, containing environment where they can think / reflect and tune in to themselves.
Psychoanalytic theory is the framework that informs my practice, with my individual therapy guided by a deep, intuitive understanding of people and relationships. I help people better understand themselves and facilitate change to often deep-seated, complex emotional and relationship patterns.
