The Kairos Centre was formed in 1992 to support the development of Soul Centred Psychotherapy TM. The name Kairos is from the ancient Greek, meaning the necessary and appropriate timing of a happening: the soul's time rather than Kronos or linear clock time. Soul Centred Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that developed organically from our experience and research as practising psychotherapists.
Working in the field for the past 35 years, we have had the opportunity to train in a wide range of therapeutic forms, and have come to value both personal and archetypal or mythic approaches to working with psyche. Our vision has been to sponsor the development of a Soul Centred therapeutic community.

Services
Soul Centred Psychotherapy focuses on relationship, mindfulness, attention, lived experience, meaning, honouring, enchantment, and the sacred. It is this focus that differentiates Soul Centred work from other approaches that use similar therapeutic techniques. A brief description of these areas can help define the essence of Soul Centred Psychotherapy.
This course runs over 18 months and is designed to provide the personal orientation and practical skills necessary for developing as a therapist, counsellor and healer. It focuses on ways of attending to personal experience that develop the internal ground, resources and capacities that allow us to attend to others.
In our lives many guests arrive within us. As a trained Soul Centred Psychotherapist I have been taught and guided to recognise the unfathomable in us and to give each of the 'guests' grace, compassion, and understanding. There are times in our lives when these guests within cannot be revealed. We tend to bury them or tuck them away in the back of our minds.
Kairos Centre dream groups meet weekly to explore participants' dreams in a safe, small group setting. Participants are supported to engage dreams in sacred space, allowing the meaning of the dream to emerge in a soulful way. Dr Kaalii Cargill has been facilitating dream groups for 18 years at the Kairos Centre.
There are women who practise birth control through a mindbody process. In the tradition of ancient women's mysteries, these women control conception through a process of internal regulation, without using drugs, synthetic hormones, or physical devices, and without abstaining at any time during the fertility cycle.
