Eastmont Pre-School in Vermont was first formed in 1964, and has been providing a quality kindergarten program for children in our community since then. Eastmont Pre-School offers 3-year old and 4-year kindergarten programs and has developed a stimulating and challenging play-based curriculum that will enable your child to explore and understand their world around them.
This wonderful program is supported by caring and dedicated educators, the Eastmont Committee of Management, and a solid parent base. If you would like any further information about our pre-school, please don't hesitate to contact us.

The Pre School Centre which cost in excess of $20,000 was financed by grants from the Department of Health ($6,000), the City of Nunawading ($2,000) with the balance being raised by a voluntary effort by the Committees. This included a Commonwealth Bank loan of $6,000 obtained through a Co-Operative Society which was specially formed for the purpose.
At Eastmont Pre-School we offer a play-based, child centred-curriculum that is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework. We aim to create a warm, caring, inclusive environment where children of all abilities feel relaxed, supported and happy and are able to explore, discover, imagine, create and reach their full potential.
The NQS is a key aspect of the National Quality Framework - which provides a national approach to regulation, assessment and quality improvement for early childhood education and childcare services across Australia. The NQS provides a national approach to 7 Quality areas that are important outcomes for children.
Eastmont Pre-School was fortunate to be selected as a recipient of a Federal Community Development Grant, and one of the projects we chose to devote these funds to was an exciting upgrade to our outdoor play space! Existing play equipment and our shade sails were also refurbished. The retaining wall and some of the plants across the front of the kinder were removed to open this area up, giving the children more space to play.
We currently have very limited availability remaining for 2021. Our 3yo groups and our 4yo long day sessions group are both full. We have a small number of places available in the 4yo short day group (5 hours x 3 days, Mon/Tues/Thurs). It is recommended you read a copy of the Enrolment Policy and Orientation for selection prior to applying.
