Alive Dance Academy was founded in 2014 by Lisa Price when she recognised a need for a local dance school in Kariong. Miss Alyssa Shields took over as Principal in 2019 with the goal to continue to grow the studio. At Alive Dance Academy we pride ourselves in offering students quality dance training in a relaxed and encouraging.
We welcome students of all abilities and experience and with a wide variety of genres to chose from, there is something for everyone at Alive. FUN CLASSES - We are a RECREATIONAL studio, meaning we do not participate in any competitions, however we do pride ourselves in providing a high standard of training without the extra commitments.

Services
We encourage students to participate in the concert as it is such a rewarding experience for the students and parents to see all of their hard-work culminate in a professional concert. It is however not compulsory and if this is not something you are interested in please let us know as soon as possible.
All of the fun of jazz, ballet & creative movement in one 30 minute class. This class new to 2021 is for children as young as 18 months to 3 years of age who are taking their first steps into dance. Inspiring their creativity through dance and props and games your child will learn some of the basic fundamentals of dance.
Students are encouraged to purchase our uniform, however it is not compulsory as long as they wear appropriate black dance/athletic attire. An example of this would be black shorts and black t-shirt. Ballet- Students enrolled in Junior or Intermediate/Senior Ballet must wear a black leotard with an optional black skirt/wrap to every class.
This was hugely exciting to be able to hold our concert as such a wonderful venue and we were blown away with the end result. This year our Musical Theatre students presented Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory to the delight of our audience and certainly left everyone wanting more. The highlight of the show was the Musical Theatre production of Alice in Wonderland.
