Island Dental was opened in Hobart in 2019 by Dr. Girish Sasidharan and his wife Jasmine Raju, who as a family, always dreamt of providing more for the community they belong to by utilising the knowledge and skills acquired through their extensive careers. The result is a high quality and modern dental clinic with a friendly team led by a well experienced Principal Dentist together with an Education Specialist.
After establishing a successful modern Mobile dental services in the city of Hobart, Dr Girish Sasidharan and Ms Jasmine identified the gap in dental care available to Aged care residents and Home restricted individuals. From over 30 years of combined experience in Dental, Medical and Health Care Sector they have developed a high degree of passion and dedication to patient care.

I visited Island Dental after having a bad experience at another practice. As soon as I walked in the door and met Kylie the lovely receptionist I knew this place was going to be good. Dr Girish made me feel very comfortable in the chair and it was a very pleasant experience and I am looking forward to visiting again for my next check up.

Outstanding! Island Dental is by far the best dental practice I have ever been to!
I suffer from quite severe dental anxiety and needed major dental work done (replacement of old veneers and fillings at the front and back) within a couple of week period as I was moving overseas for work.
Dr Girish, his skilled team of Dental Assistants and brilliant Patient Coordinator (Kylie) went out of their way to not only show me great patience and compassion with my anxiety, enabling longer appointment times, both after hours and on weekends, so I could take breaks and receive treatment in a non-time pressured
