Services
Our experienced clinicians specialise in particular areas of Speech Pathology and all work under the Centre's core commitment of genuine individual care. We undertake regular external professional development as well as onsite training. Many of our clinicians specialise in the assessment and management of children disagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Clinical Director, Devon Barnes, works closely with all the speech pathologists to make sure your child receives the best-evidence based treatments. Devon is also available for specialised consultations if needed to help "put the pieces of the puzzle together" with children have had a series of assessments by different professionals.
At Lindfield Speech Pathology and Learning Centre each child's therapy is individualised according to their needs. The report you will receive following the assessment will outline recommendations specific to your child. We also use various online skill development programs in conjunction with individual therapy to further develop a child's skills such as Fast ForWord123.
Devon Barnes is the Clinical Director of Lindfield Speech Pathology & Learning Centre which she established in 1990. She has almost 50 years' experience working with children and adults with speech, language, literacy and learning problems including dyslexia, auditory processing disorder and autism spectrum disorders.
If you are experienced in assessing and treating children with language, learning, and reading challenges, or are specialised in autism, come and join our team of caring professionals. You will enjoy working with nine other colleagues to bounce off ideas and share best practices. Join us and rapidly develop your clinical expertise with mentoring from our team of experienced and specialised speech pathologists.

My son has been attending Lindfield Speech pathology for a year now, and his speech has finally taken off. The therapists are very good with young children, as well as being patient and very experienced. The premises are clean and accessible with great parking. There are a range of therapists within the centre to cater to a full spectrum of concerns and speech and learning difficulties.
I would highly recommend their services to any parent concerned about the progress of their child’s speech development or learning.

My son has been attending Lindfield Speech Pathology for two years and we have always found them to be helpful and professional.
My son had made incredible progress and has been nurtured by all of the staff. Not only have they been supportive of my son but also of me as his parent.
They have worked well with other specialists that my son sees as well as his school to work out the best plan for him.
I have recommended them to other friends and would have no hesitation in recommending them again.

Came highly recommended by parents with special needs children as well as our Developmental Paed. We have had fantastic results with our children seeing Lauri. I always comment that as grumpy and tired as they may be going in after school she manages to turn their frowns around and they come home happy and have not even realised they're learning nor having literacy intervention. The practice has longstanding and up to date knowledge /feedback of other interventionists which is helpful as a parent as these things usually go hand in hand with OT, Audio, Paed etc. We have always found that they're

Very satisfied with our therapy and the centre. Our daughter has been attending for articulation help and we have seen a lot of improvement with her speech. The therapist is very good at making my shy and self conscious child feel comfortable. I get good feedback on the sessions and the centre is friendly and nurturing. Easy to get to and most important - lots of parking!

Awful customer service, development of the child has little priority, company cares only about how much money they can squeeze out of you, reception is obnoxious and rude, threatens financial action when school is closed for carnivals and they're unable to dig full service fee from you. Then send you an overdue notice 5 weeks later demanding payment for a charge that they said they wouldn't charge you! Very little parent feedback on assessment and sessions - have to request for this to happen, which is ridiculous given they're alone in a room with your young child...
