Based on traditional Hatha yoga, Yoga Fundamentals is designed to set you up for success! Centered around 12 key themes, Yoga Fundamentals is the perfect place to begin your yoga journey. We strongly encourage all beginner students to participate in at least one class from each of the 12 key themes before moving into our Slow, Dynamic or Power Flow classes.

Experience the benefits of yoga as you learn about sun salutations, seated stretches, core work, balances, and backbends. The perfect introduction to your yoga journey. You will need to bring your yoga mat! It is recommended that you use your own yoga mat however you are more than welcome to hire a mat at the studio for a gold coin donation.
At Jessica Dewar Yoga we are building an accessible and welcoming community of mamas and mamas-to-be dedicated to supporting each other in health, fitness and motherhood. Yoga offers endless benefits to mama and baby during pregnancy. You may be a seasoned practitioner or attend your first class when pregnant.
At Jessica Dewar Yoga we are building an accessible and welcoming community of mamas and mamas-to-be dedicated to supporting each other in health, fitness and motherhood. Minimum 6 weeks postpartum and once your Obstetrician, Midwife or GP have approved you returning to gentle exercise. When baby is hungry, baby is hungry!
The team at Jessica Dewar Yoga will travel anywhere within 30 km of Melbourne CBD. If your home is further away, still get in touch and we will do our best to assist (which may mean putting you in touch with the right people closer to your home). We certainly do! During your stay we are here to help you keep up with your regular practice so that travel doesn't mean having to miss out.

Amazing yoga studio, so welcoming and supportive. Have practiced here for approx the past two and a half years and wouldn't practice anywhere else. Jessica and her team make yoga accessible to ALL! Jessica Dewar Yoga is AMAZING! I love loveeee both Richmond and Camberwell studios. Beautiful and welcome place to practice. The teachers are just so great. They are highly qualified, patient, and dedicated to helping people do yoga safely and listen to what their bodies are saying. I enjoy the classes so much. Jessica herself is an all-round wonderful teacher who is so devoted to making yoga truly accessible for everyone. Check out the teacher training course too. It’s one of a kind 💛💛💛

Jessica is an amazing Yoga Teacher & Jessica Dewar Yoga Studio is awesome!
My work is locate. close to the Studio so myself and a number of my team have been a few times. The studio is a great space & has a very welcoming atmosphere.

Jessica Dewar has created an oasis, with consistently good teachers, an incredibly inclusive and non-judgemental environment and thoughtful curated weekly program, with wonderful extras such as restorative yoga, inversion masterclasses and sound bath meditation. If you’re starting your yoga journey, you are in safe and inspirational hands. If you’re more advanced you’ll be appropriately challenged. Do yourself a favour, get yourself to their Richmond or Camberwell studio, you’ll access a little bit of calm and connection in our frantic world.

I enjoy each and every session I attend at the studio. The teachers each have their own style but really help you ease into the feeling of yoga, especially if you are a new student. Financially, it is also the best option for full-time university students, as I am. Would recommend for anyone, new or experienced.

A very gentle and welcoming studio. A great introduction to yoga for beginners. I really enjoyed my time at this studio until I moved to the other side of the city. It's based on a new model where everyone can pay what they can afford. Amazing

Jessica and her team bring a beautiful energy and grounding classes. I was able to start my yoga journey here and eventually move into more difficult classes - highly recommend them! And they are donations based and make yoga accessible for everyone, so get behind them!

Just completed my 4 week beginners intro course & loved it!
Jessica is so much fun & an amazing teacher.
I’ve left with better understanding of how to come into postures correctly/safely plus the meaning & benefits of sequences/postures.
The studio is beautiful and you can even feel the happy energy in there!
No judgement or pressure in classes & affordable for everyone.
I’m going to continue practice here & am so happy to have found this place so close to home!

I would recommend the introduction to yoga course for anyone who hasn't done yoga before. The studio is a very relaxing space and feels comfortable to try something new. The program itself is well thought through with lots of nice details as you progress through. By the end of it I felt ready to attend the regular classes to continue the journey
