It was so disappointing it looked lovely from the out look our waiter had no idea what he was doing. We ordered some drinks never came the entire meal. The chicken was so over cooked you could hardly bite into it. Someone who came with us with braces couldn’t even eat the chicken it was so hard.

Lunch on 10 January 2022. Ordered whole sole with lemon butter sauce. Was a gluggy thick tasteless mess. The underside was soggy and did not look fresh. Advised waiter I could not eat it and he asked me to wait and walked off. Some 7 minutes later another waiter appeared and proceeded to remove the plate without saying anything. When I asked if he wanted to know why I couldn't eat it, he told me not to be aggressive. I ignored the remark and gave him my feedback, only to be told that it was the lemon butter. Staff seemed unhappy as if they did not want to be working. We normally eat out at least

The giant seafood platter is a must. Beautiful outlook in one of the most iconic spots in Sydney - Darling Harbour. Have been coming here for years to enjoy this platter has changed since last time more chips slightly diff mix from what we remember but all in all is a great mix of hot and cold seafood.

Had my anniversary here tonight and I can say that the foods and service are wonderful! The owner Glenn is very passionate in making his guests happy. Try their seafood paella and their oysters (especially the… ones with caviar on top) - they both were my favourite.
We ordered bloody mary and espresso martini for the drinks. Bloody mary was amazing and the best bloody mary in town in my humble opinion.
Bf loved the espresso martini because it is not too sweet like in most restaurants or bars.
Will definitely come back again and thanks for making my night wonderful, Glenn! I guess you have

Although the food was amazing, the service was terrible. A waiter in a establishment like this should not be wearing tracksuit pants & runners. Very disappointing when you are paying top dollar for unprofessional service & dress presentation.

Sadly it was takeaway only during lockdown, but that was the only downside! Great fisherman's basket for $18.50, delicious, fresh and speedy service! Would love to return for a dine-in lunch sometime soon

The waterfront location was spectacular and has one of the best location on Darling Harbour. I was taken to lunch by my friend, and would expect decent food / service for the prices and location. From the moment we walked through the door service was non existence. We ordered our meal at 12pm and drinks did not arrive until 12.35pm..After entrees we did not get our mains until about 1.30pm. The table next to us ordered much later but since they ordered the seafood platter they were given priority over our meal. Our mains came when the couple finishes their seafood platter... what can you say to

Decent but expensive place to go for lunch with a nice outlook over Darling Harbour if you get a table outside. That's if you can also overlook the grumpy short blonde haired duty manager that was working last Sunday. Not too many tables occupied but still had to wait 20 mins after being seated to be offered water for the table or asked for our drinks order.
This is one of those seafood places were you need to stick with the seafood options and avoid the red meat. Their ship to shore (surf and turf) dish was VERY ordinary for the $42+10% Sunday surcharge price. 3 average garlic prawns on top of

This is probably the best fish and chips I have ever had! The fish was so light and flakey as was the breading it was fried in! The tartar sauce was equally amazing and paired extremely well with it! The chips- amazing until the last one, which is hard to do with chips. We also enjoyed grilled halloumi as an appetizer which is my favorite cheese snack. Upon telling our waiter how much we enjoyed our food, he told us it was voted the best fish in chips in all of Australia. I believe it 100% I absolutely recommend this place and would go back over and over again if I lived here.

It's called Blue Fish so I had the steak well it was steak and seafood and it was quite possibly the best steak I've ever had! Very busy little spot and a menu even Gordon Ramsey would be proud of (neat offering. Not too many dishes). Menu has clear gluten free indicators so very coeliac friendly. Staff friendly and service was fast. Highly recommend

The view is great. The hosts aren't really friendly, but not bad either. I ordered the Fish & Chips, not the best choice. Fish deserves some improvement.

The espresso was bad.

Wouldn't recommend this place based on meal or service.

Came here based on the reviews and we were disappointed.

Waiter was seen 3 times, order taking, wine pouring and had to flag them down for the check. Never checked in on us in over 90 mins.

Penne pesto was al dente at best and very chewey. Not good at all. Left 80% of it in the bowl.

Other in our party had the fish and chips and they were disappointed.

The only highlight of this restaurant is the view, right on the harbor.

I was visiting from the US with a friend and our hotel was very close to Blue Fish. On the first night, we walked around trying to find a place to eat after a long day of travel but many of the restaurants were either closing or their menus didn't look good. We saw Blue Fish on yelp and decided to try it despite the 3.5 rating (which should be much higher). The manager, Andrew, was so incredibly welcoming and hospitable. He was engaging and funny the entire night and I really appreciated that. When we arrived, their kitchen was actually closed, but I guess he could see the hunger and weariness

It is a fast food style seafood restaurant mainly for tourist. I went for dinner Monday evening, this place is not busy at all. I guess it is not the typical tourist visiting time. The water was served with plastic cup, I asked dry white wine recommendation, the wine was too sweet. Seems staff were not trained properly on this. I ordered cold seafood platter as I don't want anything fried or have too much grease. It came with Moreton Bay Bug, Oyster, prawn, smoked salmon, crab meet. Overall, the taste is average at the best. Oyster is a bit stale. Smoked salmon was the lower quality type.

I was in Sydney for a conference. A Japanese customer arranged dinner at Bluefish and he ordered everything for us - family style. There were 10 of us. Service was prompt and efficient.

Seafood tower to share was impressive, but the fish was a little over cooked. The prawns, lobsters, mussels and oysters were excellent. The sea bream and clams with pasta were very good.

The ambiance is a little crowded and on the promenade. The bathroom area was not as clean as I think it should be.

Overall - I'd recommend. But there are other seafood restaurants nearby that might be better choices

We wanted a fast, convenient, and good food option while visiting Darling Harbour that also had great outdoor seating. This location was convenient and had fairly good food with nice outdoor seating, until we had our food and were literally attacked by the birds diving out of the air to try to steal our food - a switch to sitting on the shaded side of the table solved this, but then it wasn't the nice sunny outdoor seating we wanted. Also, after ordering we rarely saw our waiter and waited way too long for our check and then for the bill to sign. The food was good and warm, and the moscato

I'm sceptical when it comes to seafood restaurants in Darling Harbour as its usually overpriced for value being such a high tourist area but Blue Fish was not only impressive, it exceeded my expectations!

The oysters were big in size & probably the freshest I've tasted at a restaurant in DH. The salt & pepper squid was perfectly cooked & the seafood platter for 2 was just the right portions.

The only downside was sitting so close to other patrons, I personally like a bit of privacy but overall it was a good experience.

Great setting right on Darling Harbor, fair prices, excellent fare!! Wife had fish & chips (highly acclaimed). I had Fisherman's Basket, with fish fillet, crumbed prawns, calamari rings, BBQ calamari, seared scallop, BBQ king prawn, chips & tarter sauce, for $34.50 au. Only thing I missed, which they don't have, is iced tea (typical for Australia tho), & cocktail sauce for she'll fish. They didn't seem to know what it was. Otherwise, food quality & presentation outstanding. If they had those 2 missing items, I'd rate 5 stars!!!!

Blue Fish Cafe seemed like it would be a great place for a seafood lunch. Ratings online looked good, nice atmosphere, and a great location at Darling Harbour. I decided to have the fish and chips. It's suggested this is one of the best dishes here, but it was just okay. While presented hot out of the fryer, the fish had too much moisture (water). The chips (known in the U.S. as french fries) were very good, though, as they were perfectly cooked. Service was good here, and the recommendation to try a Tasman cherry cider poured over ice was excellent. That was one of the best beverages I&apos

Slow service, cold rubbery squid and cold chips.. For a seafood restaurant in the harbour I expect amazing seafood..

If it was deep fried it was semi-eatable.. With emphasis on the semi.

Waiter didn't even know if the Fishermans basket come with chips..

Couldn't even keep the king prawn down.. Had to spit it back on the plate.

I could get better seafood in Alice Springs.
