The Little Marionette coffee roasters was founded by Ed Cutcliffe with the intention of making great coffee accessible to all.
We manually roast our beans using a vintage Probat roaster. It's a labour of love which delivers, not only great tasting coffee, but that distinct Little Marionette flavour. We manually roast our green beans using a refurbished 1930's Probat roaster and creatively blend them at our roastery in Rozelle, giving our coffee blends their quintessential Little Marionette flavour. With a flavour first philosophy, our coffee hunters scour the best coffee regions forming lasting relationships with growers so we can bring you delicious single origins.
Filter coffee is the perfect way to experience new and interesting single origins. The mouthfeel of filter coffee is more delicate and nuanced than espresso coffee and it really makes the flavour profiles of singles shine. We roast and release fresh filters each week. Being a lighter roast, filter is less intense than espresso and the flavours are more detailed and delicate.

Services is brilliant, its not a large establishment with a large menu as they known exclusively for their coffee. David AKA "The coffee ninja" is a master barrister, his happy to recommend things from their… amazing Cold brew to there delicious In house ground TA bags of beans. their choice of Milk is great from normal, skim and soy to Macadamia and Oat.. I myself cannot go a day without atleast a oatmilk hot chocolate (which is like chocolate porridge) ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. makes Bertonies coffee taste like McDonald's early 90s coffee.

I ordered Flat white at Balmain store and was overcharged. I thought that they may mistake to Filtered coffee. So, before providing me the coffee, I confirmed them. They said filter is also good why not try? and they said “flat white” and gave me the coffee taste like “added milk in filtered coffee”.

Excellent coffee! All the time. No exceptions!
The baristas are always smiley, even at 7am when I'm not.
Cute little hole in the wall off Darling Street.
Oh, and they have a pre-ordering, queue avoiding app which links to your card and is time saving-ly awesome!

You know a cafe is serious about its coffee when the food menu comes in second. Don't expect to find big breakfast dishes here, but a good cup of coffee is always in residence. They have their own blend, roasted onsite at their Annandale store. There isn't a lot of seating but you can always grab a coffee and daily wrap, head across the road to the park and relax on the grass.
