We welcome dancers of all experience levels and offer a fresh approach to dance education in an inspiring setting. Our students are provided with strong technical and artistic foundations through a focus on Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance and their creativity is nurtured through opportunities to learn and explore the creative process.
Laneway Dance has taken an innovative approach to the dance school experience and created a vibrant creative hub where students and parents alike can escape their everyday stresses and feel comfortable, inspired and at home. Our building has an industrial feel and a vibe that has been drawn from Melbourne's colourful urban Laneways.

Laneway Dance is a vibrant, fun, inclusive and nurturing dance studio. Beautifully presented, it has great facilities, including a comfortable waiting area for parents and students. The teachers are dedicated and encouraging. Both my son and daughter attend the studio and enjoy the weekly dance classes, holiday programs and concert performances.

Laneway Dance is more then a dance school - it’s a caring community for our children with professional and supportive dance teachers that ignite a passion for dance and performance. Our kids love it there and don’t hesitate for a second to participate in school holiday programs or social events set up by the awesome staff. So glad we found Miss Sarah and Laneway Dance 💃🏻.

Our daughter absolutely loves Laneway Dance. We feel so lucky to be a part of the Laneway family and I am so glad my daughter has such a wonderful group of teachers and student teachers to educate her in the art of dance and movement and to have such a positive influence on her overall as a person. We are very grateful that our daughter has found her dance family at Laneway. A technically strong school that delivers high quality dance education in a supportive environment. Our dancer is a passionate classical ballerina and is superbly catered for. Plus she gets to enjoy the many other styles on offer. Miss Sarah and her professional team provide dancers a range of opportunities to get involved and to find their unique place in the Laneway family. The schools administration is excellent which is a huge bonus. Highly recommend for all dancers, beginners to experienced.

My 5 year old daughter adored her classes with Miss Sarah who has a real gift with children. The holiday dance intensives are particularly great and my daughter loved every minute. Miss Sarah also hosted her birthday party which all the kids thoroughly enjoyed and was a truly memorable experience. Thank you Miss Sarah!

My 5 year old daughter and 6 year old son have been at Laneway Dance since the start of the school year. We have been very happy with our experience. Sarah Evans runs her school with professionalism, creative artistry, excellent technique, warmth and sincerity. Miss Amber teaches the junior jazz class and my children adore her. She is strict… but fun and clearly enjoys working with young children. There is also a wonderful since of community that I really appreciate. Laneway Dance doesn't feel like a money-making factory which I have experienced at other dance schools in the area. Very grateful

Sarah and Laneway Dance are such a talented, professional and friendly group to work with.
