Best tailor I have been to, I wanted to alter two dresses because the sleeve was too large for me. The owner was lovely and very professional. It was done within a week and her work was beautifully done. Their prices are very reasonable too. I highly recommend this place

I brought my real leather jacket, because I was looking for a place that will work that material to perfection. I needed to cut the sleeves and keep the zippers. The work was excellent, I am very happy with the result. The repair is not noticeable at all.
They treated me a very kindly and the work was done in the agreed time. Absolutely recommended this place. Very professional.

Customer service was great, and I can’t find any fault with the workmanship. Honestly the only reason I’m giving only 3 stars is because they are so expensive. The cost to have the sleeves of my motorcycle leather jacket shortened, was half what I paid for the jacket. I have since found a place that does the same job for half what Top Stitch charges. The only thing is, it’s way outside the CBD. I guess if you want the convenience of service in the CBD, it’s going to cost you.
But hey, if you have a lot of money to burn, they’re a great place to go to.👍🏼

Had a few items sent for alteration. Long sleeves of a nice wool coat were supposed to be shortened from the top but was instead shortened from the wrist. Now the tux botton feature is gone and replaced with a quick stitch. Coat is a now bit ruined.
Edit: offered a free fix and they tried their best but still never the same as it was.

Elaine at Top Stitch Alterations was incredible!
She managed to repair my favourite pair of vintage jeans that sadly had a huge rip in them, but once she was finished with them they looked amazing and there was no sign of where the rip had been previously!
I live out of Sydney so I communicated with her via email and posted them to her and she was super quick, professional and very friendly.
I 100% recommend!

Great job tailoring 2 work dresses. One was quite simple (just a strap alteration) but the other dress was taken in from the bust all the way to the base of the skirt - with a lining as well and for only around $70. The fit is great, and the stitching was finely done.
They're more expensive than my local tailor, but I'll certainly bring any more fine tailoring work I have to them even because the quality is high and it's more than worth it for more valuable pieces.

Fantastic experience! I was looking for a tailor to add buttons to a coat, which required large button holes added to the jacket too (basically switching it from a duffel coat to a button coat) - this is harder to find than you might think! I looked up Top Stitch and Elaine was quick to respond to my email query and advised she could do the job. Picked up my coat today and I'm very happy with the quality of the work! It looks just how I hoped and fits perfectly. You've made the coat look so good!
