The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet was founded in 1991 under the name Christine Walsh Dance Centre. Co-founders Christine Walsh AM and Ricardo Ella brought to the school a wealth of experience from their own dance careers. With both possessing a desire to pass on knowledge and having adventurous and entrepreneurial spirits, the school developed rapidly.

The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet is both a classical ballet school and a training program.

The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet Professional Coaching Program provideS students with broad and intensive training which gives every opportunity to pursue professional goals in the dance industry. Throughout the program, students are given performing experience and audition opportunities.

Structured auditioned ballet training program from 12-14 years with a formal approach to comprehensive training leading to the ACB Professional Coaching Program.Formal structured curriculum designed for 14 years and above in preparation for the dance profession.

Two year Nationally Accredited Full-Time CUA60113 Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) offering a comprehensive course covering a wide range of classes and dance styles, with a strong base of classical ballet. This course provides the ideal stimulus for students aiming for careers in dance.

Student enrolment can be deferred, suspended or cancelled in limited circumstances by the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet or by the student. When deferral suspension or cancellation of enrolment is initiated by the ACB, students have the right to appeal the decision. Overseas students should be advised that their visa may be affected by a deferral, suspension or cancellation of their enrolment.
