At Lake Moodemere we are immersed in the history of six generations of Chambers wine producers. Our wines are made exclusively with estate grown fruit from our single vineyard, where vines have grown since 1886. Our vineyard, positioned on the bank of Lake Moodemere, part of the Murray River system, has a terroir unlike any other.
Our dining experience is inspired by our own family gatherings, sharing food, wine, company, the beauty of our landscape and the bounty of our Estate Grown produce. Estate grown lamb, wheat, honey, citrus, eggs, seasonal vegetables & herbs are woven creatively into a menu designed in symmetry with our single vineyard wines.
Our complimentary self guided cycling tour, Sip and Cycle, explores 25km of riverside tracks and pretty country lanes. This country has been our playground all our lives so we're experts in local knowledge of the surrounding area. Ask all the questions you like! For those who want to buy more than they can carry, we offer a complimentary drop off service to your accommodation.
At Lake Moodemere Estate, we're the lucky custodians of a garden that's been developing for over 150 years, brimming with history and uninterrupted lake views. The garden changes dramatically with the seasons. The plantlife and the wildlife bring our winery to life. The gardens are enjoyed by our visitors who can unwind under the established jacaranda and pine trees, or in the century old orchard while enjoying lunch and a glass of wine.

We had the 5 courses with matched wines, it was all divine. The service was friendly and welcoming, The surrounds are beautiful, when we arrived we sat in the citrus gardens on the park benches it was magnificent and peaceful. We especially loved the puppy and dog who showed us the way, very nice touch.

What a delightful place for sumptuous lunch, just out of Rutherglen, a worthwhile brak on Melb to Albury/Sydney. Chef here (ex Hellenic Republic) is imaginative and highly skilled, serving sublime, quality food. We ate under shaded trees overlooking a beautiful lake/billabong, watching sheep graze on the grass between grapevines in nearby vineyards. (Think we ate one in the delicious lamb tartare!) Oh, and wines are excellent too.

Amazing weekend! We stayed in the lake house, which was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. We ordered in dinner from the restaurant one night and brekky one day. Food was delicious. Wine delicious. And the fresh hot croissant delivered to our door was a delightful part of our brekky. We will be back.

Rutherglen's jewel Lake Moodemere Estate has one if the best lunch's in the region. positioned near the creek the outdoor seating is relaxing and enjoyable .
The food and service are excellent we had the Bar menu unfortunately we didn't have time for the 5 course lunch but this will be a must for us when we return.
Great to see a well run family business performing so well the wine and food is of the highest quality.

Five stars isn't enough to give this estate it's just perfect in all respects. The food is amazing the staff are lovely and the grounds are beautiful. It's the perfect place to enjoy the top shelf wines they produce and relax in the gardens with family and friends. The lake is a stunning backdrop for daydreaming but if being a little more active it's your thing then you can try your hand at the single shot golf driving range challenge, which involves driving off the high bank into a floating green in the lake. It's hands down my favorite winery in the region.
