Great refurb of the complex, really good bath in our room, friendly staff.
Easy walk into the main part of town for restaurants and cafes, and the river. There’s are Coles and Kmart diagonally opposite. Our room access was out an open walkway that overlooks the pool, so can be a bit noisy if there’s lots of kids there, although the pool area would be good for families, lots of seats and loungers for the parents to lounge in.
We also had some road noise as our window was onto the main road but we might be super sensitive as we have double glazing at home. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights here. First time and was not disappointed at all. Was welcomed with a smile and the service was excellent. Room serviced everyday. Comfy bed. Fantastic shower. Ordered breakfast both days and that was very good too. Dined in the restaurant one night and the service was top notch there too. Our drinks waiter was right onto a glass being empty and didn’t have to sit there waiting for a drink. Very efficient operation. Underground secure parking with lifts to whatever level you are on is a big plus too. 6/5.

The reason I am giving 5 stars, the staff.
When you have friendly and welcoming staff this is important as they are the first and last moments they have at the motel.
The motel would get four stars due to needing some love and some of the rooms feel dated....BUT they are clean well presented and well kept.
This is why i choose to stay here when on work or visiting what the north east has to offer.

My partner and I came back to Wangaratta and decided to stay at the Quality Hotel. We were absolutely pampered by the entire Gateway team with beautiful accommodation, amazing food, fantastic cocktails and generous breakfast. I had never had better sleep.
