Here at Platinum Dental, our objective is to provide the highest standard of clinical care, using the latest, most advanced technology in a modern, friendly and relaxed environment. Platinum Dental opened its doors in 2018, having taken over from Complete Family Dental Care; Port Stephens longest established dental practice.
Dr. Victoria Lane was born and raised in Cardiff, South Wales. She graduated from the University of Wales (with honours) in 2010, moving to Port Stephens in 2011 where she has resided ever since. Victoria is one of the few dentists in Australia to have completed a 3 year masters in aesthetic (cosmetic) dentistry with the prestigious Kings College, London.
Dr. Huw Morgan was born and raised in Pontypridd, South Wales. He qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2006, then moved back to South Wales to work in a family-run practice for nearly a decade. Huw decided to move to Nelson Bay in 2015 following in the footsteps of his brother, Gareth, and sister in law, Victoria.
Phoebe grew up locally, along the beautiful beaches of Newcastle. She studied a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy on the Central Coast at the University of Newcastle. Since then, she has been living and working in the country music capital, Tamworth, and has only just moved back to the coast to be closer to her partner and family.
At Platinum Dental, we strive to provide you with the very best in patient care. From a comfortable waiting room to a friendly and efficient service. Your comfort and convenience are of the utmost importance to us - which is where our highly skilled support team comes in! Our approachable reception staff can assist with health fund claims, financing, making future appointments and answering any enquiries you may have.

If you don’t love going to the dentist it’s because you don’t go to platinum dental!
I was previously terrified of the dentist but after spending some time with Huw Morgan my fears are gone, I crazily enough enjoy going to the dentist now.
I can’t wait to show my daughter how amazing going to the dentist is and start her off with a healthy view of oral care.
I can’t thank the team enough for how compassionate and caring they are and I can not rate them highly enough.

A very professional and caring team. I was a previous client of Victoria at another firm so happy to come across her again. Had my appointment covered by Phoebe (Oral Health Therapist) while Victoria is away and found her to be extremely professional, knowledgeable and great communicator. Would highly recommend either.

I am very happy and grateful to all the staff at Platinum Dental Nelson Bay. They are all very friendly and very professional. I am very happy with all the process and the final result with my dental work done by Dr Huw Morgan. He is very professional, very friendly and has an incredible emotional intelligence. Going to Platinum Dental at Nelson Bay is the best experience I have every had at a dentist. They explain everything to you and a very kind plus thoughtful to how you are feeling. My first visit I was in tears before sitting in the dentist chair because of bad experiences I have had in the past, but they all made me feel at ease and comfortable. Now I can go in with a smile and know that they will help me with any problems I am having with my teeth and I do this with no fear now. Thanks Huw and Team.

The team at Platinum are both friendly and professional. Victoria is quite wonderful. Knowing from previous dentists that my wisdom teeth needed to come out I felt comfortable for Victoria to do the scary deed.
With a comprehensive explanation and reassurance Victoria made me feel at ease. She removed two whoppers and I was left wondering what all the fuss was about.
My subsequent visits for check ups and cleans are thorough. Victoria leaves no stone unturned with regards oral health, she offers advice and welcomes questions.

Dr Huw and the Platinum team are simply fabulous! No where else I’d take my family for our dental care. Not only is the dental care outstanding but the personal connection made with each patient to make the experience not only painless but actually enjoyable is fantastic! Over the years I have been to a lot of dentists due to bad teeth and moving towns with my husbands job.
But now I have found Huw from Platinum Dental I will never go to another dentist again, he makes you feel very relaxed and explains in great detail. The staff are very helpful and also very caring.

I highly recommend Platinum Dental Nelson Bay. Their support team are very welcoming, friendly and display a very high level of professionalism. Dr Victoria's technical skill is next level as is her calming and soothing demeanour. It is a very modern practice and I was amazed at the latest technology in use from the state of the art x-ray machine to being able to have a crown made up and fitted in one day. Thank you Dr Victoria and your wonderful support staff for your personalised care and attention.

Needing a regular 6 month dental check up, I thought I'd give Platinum a go as the surgery has great reviews and parking is super easy. The reception staff were helpful and friendly.
