We went for dinner with friends last Saturday and had a very unpleasant experience. I’ve ordered GF linguine from the menu but specifically asked to confirm whether it was house made gluten free linguine, which they did. Given the price ($39) i was expecting house made GF pasta which is not unusual for the most reputable restaurants. When the food arrived I was very unpleasantly surprised as they served supermarket penne as a GF substitute for linguine . Firstly, the dish we offered was SO salty that it was inedible, and we did not touch the plate. You offered fresh truffle on top of the dish which we accepted but AT NO POINT did you advise that it was$25 per person for fresh truffle (almost the same price as the $32 pasta dish ) and no where was it written on your menu. When we complained to the wait staff that it was salty, you advised you would remake it with less salt. If YOU KNEW the dish was salty because of the cheese, being the experts and the owners you should have suggested that we try a different dish. INSTEAD you

The worst Italian in Sydney and a terrible dining experience. I went for a nice meal and unfortunately the mains we were served were not tasty. Upon raising this with the staff we found they were very unhelpful. We were charged extra for add-ons ($50) without being told (seemed like it was intentionally hidden). Moreover, upon requesting to have this removed from the bill, the owners become very rude, raising their voices with us infront of many other dinners and eventually yelling at us to get out. We went to this restaurant for our anniversary and had the worst experience. We were asked if we like to have truffle on our pasta dish. It was not explained that we have to pay $25 each extra for having that. The dish was $40 and we were asked to pay $65 for that dish. We were shocked on complaining the staff was very rude. Food and service was very average. We would like people to be careful about these hidden costs a rip-off.

Is this Sydney's best Italian restaurant? One of the best at least. Lovely room and good down to earth Italian cooking. The care and quality is a testament to the three brothers who cook, wait and manage this great restaurant. One of our favorites - we keep going back - business meetings, friends, we even take the kids for our adult birthday dinners!

Had dinner here and the food was amazing - carpaccio, porchetta, pappardelle and the pork special were all delicious. For wine, we were enticed to buy a bottle of "beautiful sangiovese" for $110 that was not on the wine list, as there were only a couple of bottles left. However, we were surprised to find the wine retailing online for $25! When we raised our concern about the price difference we were told the restaurant bought this wine wholesale for $38. So I'm not sure whether to feel duped or advise the restaurant to have a chat with their supplier!
