Services
Clinical pathology involves the laboratory testing of blood, body fluids or tissues in order to identify existing disease. Common laboratory tests include microscopy, blood chemistries, complete blood counts, blood clotting times, urinalysis, faecal tests, biopsy examination, cultures and infectious disease testing.
At nOah, we're animal people. But as dog owners ourselves, we have a special affinity for canine companions. When you bring your dog to our Northcote veterinary clinic, you can rest assured that every step of the process has been carefully designed to reduce the stress that your dog may have experienced at vets before.
Our brand new, purpose-built vet clinic in Melbourne has been designed with cats in mind. Considerable thought was put toward creating a cat-friendly clinic in Melbourne with facilities to reduce stresses encountered at the vet. As a result, we are proud to say we have incorporated a cat waiting area and cat-only hospital ward.
Leah joined nOah in 2018, having previously worked for several years as a primary school teacher. Although she loved working with her students, her passion for animals encouraged her to take a leap of faith and start a new career in the veterinary industry. Leah is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Box Hill Tafe and is enjoying every minute learning about the animals she cares so much about.
Our veterinary team at Northcote Animal Hospital (nOah) have a wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to treating skin and ear diseases. The most common conditions we see are itchy skin, rashes, ear problems, skin lumps, nail problems, scooting (itchy bottom) and paw licking.

We diagnose the underlying cause of these problems and put them into specific categories - allergies, infections (bacterial, yeast, fungal), immune-mediated conditions, wounds, and cancer.Once diagnosed, we can then proceed with appropriate treatment options and implement long term strategies for control and prevention in the future.

First time I've been there, but I'll go back again when needed. The front of house staff were very friendly and helpful, both on the phone and on person. Our dog HATES vets, but the vet was very good with her, was pleasant and seemed competent. All in all it was a much better experience for our dog. A pity we didn't start taking her there some years ago before her vet phobia became entrenched.

Amazing vet clinic and hospital! Very thorough vets, who are both compassionate and knowledgeable. Prices are great too, when compared to other vets. We changed to nOah from another vet this year and we won’t be going elsewhere. Keep up the amazing work nOah team! Priscilla and Marley x

Definitely will not be going back there again. My dog suddenly had a seizure with his extremely increased heart rate, he was shaking, couldn’t stand on his legs…my husband grabbed him and ran off as we live across the road from this vet hospital. He walked in quickly explaining what the problem was, and the vet happened to be close to receptionist desk… she asked him to wait outside as she is awaiting for her next appointment. She wasn’t even attending anyone at that time and wouldn’t wven have a look to see what’s happening. Absolutely clear that they don’t care about animals…too

My appoiment was meant to be at 6pm, they make me put my cat in their "cat waiting section" Because is more "calm " but doesnt avoid dogs barking. I felt so frustrated because I would have prefer to be told we will be late so i could have waited in my car.
But i want to thank the Mánager for looking after me and apologize for the inconvenience.
She saw my frustration and was happy to take feedback. She kindly offered me solutions and I I apreacite it a lot.
My partner told me the vet that looks after my cat was very nice and look after them very professionally.
All I ask is to be given more

Took my sick dog for an emergency and was told to wait as she was waiting for her next appointment. Very upsetting and disappointed in their service. On previous occasions, imperative was on selling products rather than anything else and they justify it by wanting the best for our animals. Well in that case you need to attend animal that’s in need. Help animals should be why you’re there, not sell all sorts of irrelevant products. Shame on you

The visit to this vet was an ongoing sales pitch for all kinds of products, test la and treatments than a sensible medical consult. The diagnosis done on our dog was inaccurate and the medicine prescription incomplete. Our dog had an ear infection, which is recurring and is usually treated with antibiotics. In this case the vet did not prescribe any antibiotics, he was unsure of what medicine he could prescribe and asked us to return for another consult so he could ask the lab for advice beforehand. In the meantime, he prescribed a whole box (60 tablets, completely unnecessary) of neuropathic pain

Dr Emily is the best Vet I've seen since I've had my cats. She's knowledgeable, patient & kind. My elderly 3 legged cat is much calmer & experiencing less pain now that Dr Emily is looking after him. She's up to date with the best treatments for feline arthritis & is calm & gentle when treating my cats. Cass in reception is really competent & genuinely loves all the creatures that visit the hospital.

Having a cat who required regular visits due to some ongoing problems, nOah was friendly, and super accommodating. You can tell they genuinely care about your pet and they make the experience as pleasant as possible for you and your pet. Highly recommend!

Tom is a superhero!! Our boxer had, had a limp for well over 6months due to his arthritis , after seeing no positive change in the treatment our previous vet was giving him we took him to NOah who came highly recommended. Could not be happier, our dog has NO limp, no issues with walking and seems much happier. The team here are so transparent with costs, treatments and concerns. Thanks guys x

I always feel my cat is well taken care of here. We first came as alternative to my regular vet but swiftly switched to make this our permanent home. The separate area for cats helps keep them calm and all the staff are always knowledgeable, kind and courteous

Northcote Animal Hospital staff obviously love all the animals and they're pretty friendly to the humans too. :)
All their skills are top-notch and they have provided only the best care and support to our boy Tiger Roberts. He used to be stressed about going to the vet but he calms right down when he hears and sees his many friends amongst the NoAH staff.

All the vets and nurses at Noah are just fantastic, very caring, thorough, and take the time to answer any questions so you understand what’s going on. We feel so well looked after here, don’t feel bad for asking silly questions, and our puppy runs in the door tail wagging at every appointment looking for his belly scratch and treats :)

Excellent, caring and lovely staff! We've boarded our cat there a couple of times too and they send us photos and updates of our little dude strutting around and socialising. Top notch advice and health care for our furry family member.
