Services
Our healthcare team can assist you with education, advice and care to ensure your pet has the happiest and healthiest life possible. We provide a full range of medical facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of dogs and cats. In order to keep informed on current therapies and procedures our veterinarians and nursing team regularly attend relevant seminars and education programs.
Veterinarians recommend desexing for a variety of reasons. Firstly, it prevents unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. In females, the spay procedure removes the reproductive organs and immediately stops hormonal cycles with the associated bleeding in bitches, and risk of pregnancy.
Castration of males can help prevent wandering tendencies which can lead to traffic accidents as well as some territorial behaviours in cats such as urine marking and fighting. The latter can lead to many an unplanned vet visit due to injuries which can in themselves require surgery and extensive treatment to resolve.

We recommend and stock a variety of healthcare products for your pets to protect against creepy crawlies such as fleas, mites, lice and intestinal worms. Please contact us for advice so we can recommend a product that suits your pet, environment and budget. We will tailor make a parasite control program for your individual pet, depending on his/her lifestyle and choosing amongst a number of excellent products now available.
Our x-ray facilities allow us to investigate animal injuries and health problems. Having the equipments on hand means we are able to quickly diagnose injuries particularly in emergency situations. This is convenient for you as your pet can have all treatment done at the hospital and also means our patients are given the best opportunity for recovery.
Vaccinations are very important and protect your pets against infectious and potentially fatal diseases. To maintain this immunity, the kittens and cats must be vaccinated once every 12 months. The vaccines will protect the cats from three infectious diseases - Feline enteritis, Cat Flu and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Value
From my first visit, I was super satisfied with how they treated my kitten. A vet I went to in the past was very rough and unhelpful, so I needed a new one. The vet at Pascoe Vale was very, very helpful, calm, patient and gentle with Leo. Definitely will be my regular vet from now on!

Staff were great. My pupper had an accident requiring some wounds to be closed. Staff were great at fitting us in, explaining what they were going to do, gave accurate billing estimates before the procedure and clear after care instructions. My dog was extremely anxious and is quite reactive, staff were great dealing with him, despite his challenging behaviour. While the experience wasn't cheap, I'm not sure how they compare to other clinics for price.

It should be criminal to charge as much as this clinic does for surgeries. I was given very little explanation as to why the price was so high, other than ‘the vet can perform specialist treatments which other vets cannot’. I’m still scratching my head as to what actually incurred $2500 worth of fees for a simple dental procedure, versus less than 1000 elsewhere. I was also charged a higher price on the day of the surgery than originally quoted. Would not recommend, at all.

Positive: Professionalism
I’ve been bringing my cats here since I moved to the area. One of my pets had dental surgery recently and I was impressed with the information provided and the professionalism of the team. She is now recovering very well. Thanks to the vets, vet nurses and the front desk as well as the behind the scenes staff.

Vet was not very compassionate . was told a blood test was required and biopsy as she thought my dog had Lymphoma. this would have cost me $290 for bloods and $190 for biopsy. lucky i sought after a second opinion from another vet $100 blood test. no biopsy as vet didnt think it was lymphoma. and bloods came back with an infection. no Lymphoma well PASCOE VALE VET .... will not be re visited EVER.
