For the past 28 years this restaurant has served tasty food at reasonable prices, it is always fully booked but you will be accommodated at short notice and that says it all. I've been here twice in the last year, and both times had a great meal & drinks. It's a hidden gem really, we had a group booking as there was about 12 of us & this place was recommended by a few people for being good value for money.

My family and I came to Pancho's on Tuesday night for dinner. I wanted to specifically write a review for our waiter Nick. His friendly attentive service made our experience what it was. He was super happy and helpful and remembered everyone's orders (and for a table of 13 that is no easy task). Well done Nick, Pancho's is lucky to have you! Bree

We went on a busy Friday night without reservation and the place was packed. However, we promptly got a table for two and the service was outstanding. Friendly and super fast. We didn't wait longer than 2min for the cocktails and 5min for the food to come out. We expected a much longer wait time considering how busy it was. It's definitely not authentic Mexican food, however it's very delicious and the portion sizes are massive. Great job to the entire team.

Service and food were nice. The only thing that I wasn’t happy is we had a 15 people booking. One person had to sit at the end of the table. There was one staff asked us not to sit at the end of the table as they were having other bookings for a table of 4. But there were only two people came in and sat at that table. So really I didn’t need to sit at the corner for my meal at all while I was paying for a proper meal
After the response from the owner, definitely will only deserve one star 😉

Love this place! $25 Tequila tasting palate definitely recommended as are the jalapeno peppers and nachos (we got the chicken ones and HOT..OMG!). I had 2 cocktails - Long Island Iced Tea (my fav) and Tequila Sunrise.. both excellent! Patron Cafe was the best tequila in the palate, definitely getting it next time.

Delicious... I really wish we had a Pancho's Mexican Villa Restaurant in South Australia. It was one of the best experiences of my life, just awesome.I had the Supreme Nachos with hot heat, which were everything I was hoping for. We also got the tasting platter of there frozen cocktail menu. You certainly get great value for money. They were very busy, but had plenty of friendly staff to cater for everyone.

I walked in , the first thing I saw was massive margaritas !! I thought to myself "hello! Is like one of those!"
I hear music playing, colourful Mexican hats and lots of food being served to patrons.
Boy do I have food envy!
By the time I sat down at my table I knew what I wanted to order!
Halepeno poppers, some meat and bean dish !
It's quite substantial so I would suggest to share!
The atmosphere was lively and really got me in the mood to have Mexican!
Great place to meet friends or just have a bday party :)
Service could have been better though, but the food, cannot

Panchos is great!! I went with a group of 4. I'm vegetarian but there were plenty of yummy options for me. Because we went on a Tuesday, frozen margaritas were half price ($6.50 which for a broke student goes a long way!). The servers were really friendly and helpful. Food was awesome. Great guac, big servings of fajitas and tacos - we couldn't fit in dessert! They even gave us hilarious sombreros and took photos for us!
A great place, will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

We came here last night for a late dinner as our usual Mexican takeaway closed at 9pm. I was not impressed with Pancho's. The whole place has a very kitsch American chain restaurant vibe. There was a girl walking around with sombreros asking if we wanted photos and their cocktails are poured out of slushy machines. We ordered an orange juice, a lemon lime and bitters, small nachos, taluco combination (beef enchilada and two beef tacos), and one beef taco for take away. Both dishes were generously portioned, and tasty, however it is the quality or the food that really disappointed me. Everything

Honestly not sure why this is getting so many bad reviews, we recently went here for valentines day. My girlfriend loves Mexican food and has been talking about Pancho's for so long and how she wanted to try it, so I decided to treat her and take her here! Let's just say she loved it so much! We ordered the Chili Con Queso to share, that was so tasty! I ordered the Mascata and I absolutely devoured it!! She ordered the Delores which she also loved! They also take your photo with big hats on and upload it to their facebook, its awesome, great feel to the place and great service and prices

Visited many times and went again last night to celebrate with work mates.
Everyone loved the food and the ambience.
The chorizo fajitas are soooo good and would feed a horse. I recommend buying additional tortillas and taking home the extras as there is so much meat and fillings to go around! Some had steak and others chicken and all of them really liked the food. Yes, (for you serious critics) it is not actually "mexican", but it is the perfect Aussie hybrid.
Feedback on the cocktails wasn't as good. Pretty average. Too sweet and not much booze.
All in all though, a great place

BEST BIRTHDAY DINNER EVER!
Took my whole family (13 of us) and we had such a fun night, posing for photos in sombreros, and the food was YUM!
Food was a little bit of a wait but considering it was a busy night, we didn't mind - the drinks were a good distraction
Also as someone who loves Mexican food but doesn't like spicy, their mild sauce was really really good and I could take my younger cousins and they loved the nachos!

I don't like writing bad reviews. It makes me feel like a cow. I was going to try and make this one short, albeit not so sweet, but it just didn't happen.
First of all, I found the restaurant badly designed. If you get stuck waiting for your table (for a fair while, in our case, despite having booked), you can stand by the bar. That would have been kind of cool, but the waiters have to squeeze past the bar to get food out of the kitchen, and the space is pretty narrow when the restaurant is busy and the bar is packed. That's just the bar area. The rest of it is fine, but nothing

I love Mexican food but I wasn't as impressed about Panchos as I thought I would be. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were nice but definitely prefer Santa Fe in Subiaco. My husband ordered the steak burrito and he too agreed that Santa Fe was nicer. It was a little pricey but I suppose that's because of the location in Mt Lawley. Probably wouldn't go back as there are nicer Mexican places but I'm glad I tried it.

Sauce and cheese slop pretty much sums the menu up. I like my Mexican fresh and flavoursome, this just tastes like tinned ingredients covered in plastic cheese.
The alcoholic slushies were okay, but still tastes like some generic, sugar filled, post-mix.
Nothing fresh or Mexican about this place, just your typical Western interpretation.

Terrible. I will never go near this so called Mexican place as long as I live.
1. The guacamole was BROWN - no flavor at all. It looked like it had been sitting in the fridge for about a week and then they decided to sprinkle some chiles and sour cream on it.
2. Prawn burrito - Please tell me why it's ok to pour marinara sauce on a burrito??? This was the worst burrito I have ever had - I just ate the 5 prawns inside.
3. Mexican Rice - It was mushy and flavorless. White/Yellow almost risotto look to it? I actually spit it out on my plate.
4. My boyfriend got steak fajitas - he was ok

I love Mexican food, from the fresh salsas, spices, beans, and a splash of lime, that is a flavour packed meal. But there was none of that at Pancho's.
My chicken burrito was hidden under a mountain of tomato sauce and gluggy cheese wrapped in a chewy tortilla. Quite the forgettable meal. The décor is kitschy Mexican paraphernalia and colourful and lacks atmosphere. As Danielle W suggests, why butcher Mexican food just for a profit and turn it into franchises all over when the product isn't even true to its origins?
I think would be good for families with young children and unfussy

I love Mexican food and Panchos is a great place to catch up with your buddies and have a few drinks, the BYO option is perfect! I usually go to Vic park which i cannot fault at all, however Mt Lawley have some work to do.
I was there on Saturday just gone with 6 friends. We ordered a chili cheese dip and nachos to share for starters. As out mains came the waitress took our unfinished starters away! The nachos were only half eaten and there was half a bowl of cheese sauce remaining.
I was in absolute horror when i realised i had no chili cheese sauce to dip my enchiladas in! I was so hungry

I think I should start by saying that I am a massive Pancho's Mexican Villa fan and I have been going to the one in Vic Park for about two years now almost weekly! (At least as often as my wife would allow) So luckily for me I was able to go to the opening night at this new restaurant in Mount Lawley.
Now, this restaurant is a little different from the one in Vic Park, and I was surprised, but it was a pleasant surprise. This one is a lot more up market and more designer bar style. There is a fantastic mural that spans the wall and I kept finding myself looking at it to take in more detail
