Shavans Restaurant in Patterson Lakes is one of the finest Indian restaurant in outer south east Melbourne in Victoria with a wide variety of non- vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan delicacies to choose from. The restaurant has a very pleasing ambience with an excellent customer service.

We used Shavans to cater for dinner for a milestone birthday event recently. We were very happy not only with the food, but also the process. Before we placed the order, we visited the restaurant and met the owners and the chef. The chef comes from a famous hotel chain in India and is very experienced. He asked us what we are trying to do and helped us to make the selections. The food was delivered on time in good hot case containers. And it was simply delicious and the guests loved it. The quantity was more than enough and no one was left wanting. Would definitely use them again

The owner only wants money but he doesn’t want to give food, owner is very greedy.we waiting for 2 hours then he made the food. I organised my sons birthday party and guests were really disappointed and upset. The food totally disgusting and all guests waited over 2 hours for food. The guests came and sit and he serve the food after 2 whole hours, and staff very lazy , for a glass of coke you have to ask around 10 times
No one ate food , the staff gave drinks after 15 minutes when we asked.
I totally don’t recommend this disgusting restaurant

We ordered food at 6:20pm, with an ETA of 20-40 minutes. We called the restaurant at 8pm because we still hadn't received our order, and were told that the order was ready but hadn't left the restaurant yet. Called the restaurant at 8:32pm because we still hadn't received it, this time we were hung up on. Called back and at 8:39pm we were told that the driver was 6 minutes away. Food arrived at 8:54pm, so more than twice as long as what they told us and all in all it took 2 hours and 34 minutes for us to receive our food. Staff on the phone were rude and blamed the rain for the delays which makes

A very busy restaurant that don't care one bit when they get it wrong. Ordered a takeaway they said would take 1 hr, took 2 hrs. When we phoned at the 1.5hr point, said they would call back and didn't. When we phoned again at 1hr 50 minutes, not even the hint of an apology. This is not the first time and previously forget takeaway food that you have paid for. So, if you are happy to accept poor service from a business that couldn't care less, Shavan's is the place to go!

I would highly recommended this place! If you want excellent, flavoursome, delicious, traditional Indian cuisine, you can't go past Shavans! A lovely big, modern restaurant located upstairs in Patterson Lakes. A comfortable and nice location with good service and food. Great priced meals, you won't regret trying!

Excellent food. Couldn't fault it. But the service was horrible.
We had three people confirm our drink order on 4 different occasions. We had 3 people try and take our order after we had placed it.
Our food arrived an hour after we did. We asked for the bill which we chased up and they tried to charge us double for the drinks.
They have a takeaway service so utilize that and eat in the comfort of your own home.
