MEVG is a dedicated equine practice and treats all horses from pleasure to performance, with a special interest in racehorses. Our team of experienced veterinarians provide a high quality service, with state of the art portable diagnostic equipment. Vets are at Caulfield, Cranbourne, Mornington and Pakenham racetracks daily and cover all areas South East of Melbourne and the Peninsula.

The Melbourne Equine Veterinary Group is one of the largest horse-only practices in Melbourne. With seven experienced veterinarians, we provide routine veterinary care to over 50 racing stables as well as many pleasure horses. Our hospital team performs over 350 surgical procedures annually.

Orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery (including arthroscopy, fracture and wound repair), throat surgery (including tie-back, tie-forward, epiglottic entrapment), routine and cryptorchid castration, Caslicks. Portable video endoscopy, high speed treadmill examination located at Caulfield, dynamic respiratory examination (DRS) performed whilst the horse is working.

Tasmania Report

Dr Peter Angus makes monthly scheduled visits to Tasmania, servicing both the north and south of the state. All portable equipment is available, including digital radiography, ultrasound, shockwave, and dynamic endoscopy.
