We are a dedicated team of animal lovers, and all concerns with your pets are dealt with genuine compassion, in a caring and gentle manner.
Did you know that a well-equipped veterinary clinic is very similar to a hospital for humans? At the North Road Veterinary Centre, in order for us to keep your pet healthy, we need to have pet care facilities for radiology, ultrasonography, dentistry, blood testing, sterilisation of surgical instruments, the monitoring of vital signs when under anaesthetic and for fluid therapy (intravenous pumps).

The cattery at North Road Veterinary Centre is an intimate, purpose-built, indoor cat boarding facility attached directly to the veterinary clinic. It was established in 1993, and continues to have an impeccable reputation. It is one of the few purpose-built cat boarding establishments operating in conjunction with a veterinary clinic.
To make a booking or an enquiry phone the clinic on 03 9596 4804 or email us If you wish to drop off or pick up your cat out of the above hours, but within normal veterinary clinic hours, arrangement can be made by contacting the clinic. Your cat needs to be up to date with vaccinations against Feline Enteritis and Feline Respiratory Disease (F3, F4 or F5) at the time of boarding.

I have taken my two cats Luna and Diego to North Rd Vet since I first got them at 12 weeks (they are now ~2 years). I have had such a great experience with all of the vets - we have seen Dr Jenny, Dr Pey, Dr Caroline and Dr Byron. My 5 year old daughter particularly loves to come to the appointments and be involved in the diagnosis for each of the cats! The vets and nurses are always incredibly patient with her which is so lovely. We recently moved house and Luna and Diego stayed at the cattery for a few days to avoid the chaos of home. I received regular updates and photos - I suspect they enjoyed

I have been going here for many years (even after I moved away from the area). All the vets and staff are friendly, caring and professional. Never had a bad experience. If you happen to see Dr Jenny Tong you are extra fortunate. Highly recommend for any pet owners in the area.

Very happy with the boarding arrangements for our beloved old cat Mr Mack. Being an old cat, having him at a veterinary clinic as well as boarding gave us extra confidence that he would be well looked after. We were able to talk to the staff and they were never too busy to tell us how Mr Mack was doing. They sent us pictures which helped us to feel comfortable. Thank you very much to the staff and the vet and everyone involved in looking after our furry family member. More than happy to recommend North Road veterinary Centre.

My cat LOVED her stay at the cattery here...I was gone a long 28 days, and I was sent regular photos and updates about her well-being and exploration of the cute outdoor area (the only cattery in Melbourne that has an outdoor area!). I highly recommend this cattery for the amazing service and kind staff in charge. My friends have commented that you would never guess she has been in a cattery for the past month, as she seems so relaxed and in perfect health. Tooloola can't wait to come back soon!

The staff at North Road are very dedicated and caring, and always treat with your pet's best interests at heart. I've been taking my cat to North Road for almost 11 years, and they have consistently delivered gentle and excellent care towards her over that time. I really wouldn't trust Siouxsie Sioux's welfare to any other practice.
