Rich in history, the Palace Hotel first held a liquor license in 1877. The vibrant Haymarket area was the market end of town bustling with fruit, vegetables, meats and all sorts of fare for the new Sydney colony. Haymarket was also the entertainment precinct of Sydney. A tradition we are proud to uphold.
During the first World War all bars had a 6.00pm curfew, so men would rush over after work, drink as much as they could and head home happy before dinner.' Almost one hundred years on and as though time stood still, the history and spirit of the Palace Hotel continues to radiate and attract visitors near and far.

6 of my colleagues were there for drinks on the 17th dec. The glass collector took our basket of wedges that still had a couple of wedges in it and they were clearly not scraps. It lacked seasoning and lacked charring for that preferred grilled taste. The gravy was a little too thick and tasted store bought. It overpowered the steak but paired a little better with the fries. The salad was fresh and light which didn't need much help with seasoning as the light dressing was

Well... This was 16$(We ate 4 pieces of calamari and took this photo to share our experience). I understand it is St Patrick’s day and you guys are experiencing ingredient shortage. However if you don’t have enough ingredients, please DON’T SELL FOOD. This was like 5$ side dish. I never seen this kind of small calamari in my life.
