We went for the Christmas Day lunch. It was expensive for what you got and the amount of food didnt match the people there - for example, 5 pieces of food for 6 people. The food was average, some dishes were great though. The air conditioning vents were leaking the whole time we were there. Drinks prices were reasonable and staff were friendly.

23rd Oct 2021. Visited for lunch. Great spot near the beach and we were lucky to get a balcony table. Service is a bit slow but standard pub food, fish and chips, burger and chips all reasonably good and decent portion size. Chips were a little on the Luke warm side. Mozzarella fries were tasty. Reasonably priced for the location. Kids were happy with the food.

In a lovely location with great deals on food and drinks but unfortunately I won't be returning due to the aggressive nature of the staff. I feel that they come to work looking to engage in conflict with patrons and this must feed down from management. They ask patrons to leave at the earliest possible opportunity and do not make you feel welcome which is not what you expect in a hospitality venue. It is just a negative place to spend an evening if you are looking to have a good time.
Obviously not every staff member engages in this way but I have never been to NBH without there being some incident

We love this pub. Meals are consistently good. Upstairs verandah is a lovely place to eat away from the buzz of the sports bar downstairs. Disappointed our meal was slow today. A table of four served before us, having ordered after us (only two). Kitchen needs to up it's game. We ordered before it got busy.

Lunch today took 1hr and 10minutes to arrive and was below average! When it finally came parts were inedible. Cold chips, barely warm fish and schnitzel. Absolutely disgusting kids burgers made of sausage… mince, so my kids waited all this time to eat a bun with sauce. It’s beyond me why kids burgers are served with lesser ingredients (beef) than the adult burgers! Every table surrounding us was annoyed with the slow service. Management told us they had one person in the kitchen and gave us a half a jug of free coke!! Tell people upon ordering if there is going to be an extended wait

The "Mexi bowl" salad I ordered is the worst salad I have ever been served in a restaurant. It consists of what tasted like pouch instant brown rice topped with shredded burger lettuce, and some flavourless avocado mixture. The supposed "Pico de Gallo" is plain diced tomatoes. The serving is tiny, not that I would want to eat any more of it. Told the girl who collected our plates about how bad it was but she didn't seem that concerned. Honestly I've had better quality food at the BP Truck Stop and for a lot less than $18.
