Having been a patient for over 10 years it is incredible how the service has deteriorated over that time. Clearly a business that has become about profits not people…

I have been trusting DMC with my health care and been giving them my business for the last 6 years.
When I presented today with an actively bleeding head wound from an accident in my home workshop they had me wait to see if anyone was willing to attend to me (waiting outside the front door of the clinic bleeding into a dressing my wife had brought), after some time I was met by a doctor whom I believe is one of the owners of the clinic (outside the main door on Victoria Road, still bleeding from my head) who after some extremely non urgent humming and hahing then turned me away with no other advice

My appointment been cancelled by doctor decided to working from home. Even though the doctor still can do telephone consultation but I pushed away my other things and wait whole day long to see him, it’s not fair.
Another time one doctor brought his personal emotions to work and was very rude to my 4 years old daughter.
During COVID they are doing telephone consultation, it’s fine, but the APP wasn’t very clear, they charged private doctor fee for I chosen bulk bill telephone consultation.
When I talk to reception, they always can’t fix the problems, just depends on the doctors.

€œYes, there’s an ear wax blockage in your ear. But you have to make another appointment because we don’t syringe (rinse) ‘walk ins’...(????)
This was on Saturday, May 22nd. My left ear was completely blocked and I couldn’t hear (I work on Saturdays, right across the road from DMC) But why argue? I’ll make sure I won’t just ‘walk in’ again.

No one picks up the phone here. Have never experienced a medical centre not picking up the phone and at least asking if you can hold. 2 days in a row now.

You know the doctors at this clinic sometimes don't see eye to eye, but at least they listen and understand!
I haven't had a bad experience here at all even if I book a random one if it's urgent.
I'd really recommend putting in the time to make this your local GP practice, it's only a 10 minute bus ride from the city, and they even message you script direct to your phone.
Lastly there not just doing a job, they do actually care!

Been going there ever since it opened and never had any problems with going there I'm sure people make mistakes, but we are people we all do.
This is a very good medical centre and very clean compared to some i have seen ,with good Drs and staff, on the staff side of it they do their best to help you as much as possible and are always friendly .
The Drs are good and in tune with todays procedures i have no problem recommending this pracrice to anyone .

If you can get past the horrible people who are on reception, you might be able to find a good doctor. Been coming here for over 25 years, unfortunately DMC doesn't value your loyalty to a family GP. They will try and charge you unneccessarily and not apologise when they are wrong. This practice has turned into a profit-first machine. If you're a local, invest your time and money into a practice more deserving.
