Payment method We accept cash, EFTPOS, and all major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard and American Express). Health Funds & Rebates Our consultation rebates are in accordance with Medicare Australia's rebate for eligible services. Rebates are also available from many private health funds and can be claimed by using the tax invoice issued by SCMC.
Star City Medical Centre online booking is for standard appointments and not for emergency treatment. Please dial 000 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department if you have chest pains, uncontrolled bleeding, poisoning, constant vomiting, serious breathing problems, or anything else you deem as life or limb threatening.
The Australian type 2 diabetes risk assessment tool (AUSDRISK) is a short list of questions to help both health professionals and consumers to assess the risk of developing type 2 diabetes over the next five years. People with a high score result, > 12, are eligible to attend a Diabetes Risk Evaluation with their GP.
This is a comprehensive document that sets out and enables evidence-based management of your Chronic Health and Care needs. A chronic condition is deemed to be one that you have, or will have, for more than 6 months. This plan is done once every two years, with regular reviews of your progress against the plan, and it is direct billed to Medicare.
Your appointment will be bulk billed if you have got Enhanced Primary Care (EPC or Care plan) from your GP. If you do not have an EPC, the cost would be 80$ which can be claimed back from private health. NB: Home visits available by Podiatrists available for regular clients of the practice if they are unable to attend the surgery.
