Our Glebe medical practice is fully GPA accredited - we meet the rigorous RACGP standards for general practices in Australia. We are open 6 days a week, 7:30 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 am - 12.30 pm on Saturday. We offer a range of different appointment times to suit you. Our standard appointment times are 15 minutes.
The role of our Practice Manager is to co-ordinate our strategic planning, review and implement processes which increase efficiency and ensure a high level of healthcare. This includes implementing government initiatives in critical areas such as eHealth, Indigenous health initiatives and ensuring the practice meets the national accreditation standards.
Dr Mariana Macphail is a clinical psychologist working in private practice at the Glebe Family Medical Practice and in the Northside Clinic. She works closely with our team of Glebe doctors and provides assessment and treatment for mood disorders, anxiety, substance use, stress, eating disorders, relationship issues and loss to individuals, couples, families, older adults, adults, adolescents and children.
Rebecca Luong is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Master of Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Science (Food Science) from the University of New South Wales. She is also an Accredited Anthropometrist, enabling her to conduct accurate measurements on human body dimensions.

I can't say I'm chuffed. My GP retired earlier this year. I had my first phone consult with "my" new doctor yesterday. One topic was covid vaccination which I avoid due to extreme reactions to medications in the past. Whilst the new GP listened as I explained my request for exemption, at no stage did she seem to refer to my notes. Nor did she offer to verify what I was saying via medical tests or contacting my chemo oncologist. These experiences occurred 10 years ago. I still find them distressing. They stripped all the padding out of my feet. Couldn't walk properly for 5 years and still have issues

I have been a patient for many years now, and have seen several doctors over that time, and every single one has been fantastic. I recently had a not so great experience at different doctors office and it really made me appreciate just how caring and empathetic the doctors here are. They really take the time to listen and understand you, not rush you out the door like other places. Reception staff are lovely as well.

Working at another medical practice in Glebe, I had high expectations when looking for a regular GP and Glebe Family Medical did not disappoint. The receptionists were friendly, efficient and professional and the GP I saw was wonderful - she took her time, was thorough, genuinely caring and it was clear she likes working in partnership with her patient, giving thoughtful, considered options. Great experience!

Lovely, caring doctors that don't prescribe treatment unless they are sure of the issue, which is surprisingly rare. A variety of specialists means that they have occasionally grabbed another Dr to confirm diagnosis or plan of action when unsure, which ensures great care. A small issue is that they occasionally get nervous if you're taking too long on a short appointment.
