Busshari Restaurant
Our delightful dinner started with tempura oysters, progressed through super fresh sushi, continued with tempura seafood and vegetables and a lovely chicken dish. Topped up with sparkling sake. The whole night was a pleasure! The restaurant has a great decor and was packed. This is one of the best Sushi Bars in town.

Amazing culinary experience meets high end presentation of your favourite food selections. I've turned into an addict, as all of their food is just simply beautiful. My favourite dishes are Wagyu Beef Sizzling Tobanyaki, Assorted Seafood & Vegetable Tempura, Karaage Chicken on Harusame Noodle Nest and many more.

Stumbled onto to this and it was a gem find.
The staff were so nice finding us a table as we didn't have a booking.
The food was amazing and seemed to be prepared with care and love.
The sashimi was fresh, the grilled eggplant with two types of miso was so good and the duck was pretty amazing as well.

Look… not great. I really wish it was better. It has a great fit out, pleasant atmosphere. But quite honestly it’s considerably overpriced and the food isn’t anything remarkable… We also had to wait over an hour for chicken karaage udon…
I think you’d be better off going to some small hole in the wall Japanese restaurant.

I messed up our booking for my daughter's birthday, however when we arrived, they were helpful, gracious and fitted us in, on a night that they were cray cray busy. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs preparing sushi - as we ate plate after plate of the most spectacular food. Will go again in a heartbeat. Food was amazing, service was delightful.

Very authentic Japanese dishes. The Saikyo yaki fish we had was especially amazing. Definitely going back next time!

A sophisticated and intimate ambience. You would think you were in the Ginza Nicely insulated from harshness of Macleay St. You can have a drink at the bar and then be seated for your meal. Excellent traditional Japanese dishes simply but elegantly presented. Prices are relatively high as portions are on the small side. Check out the specials which can include a sake special of 300ml carafe for $30. Service is welcoming and efficient. A pleasant dining experience. Street parking is difficult. Try the nearby parking stations in need.

Authentic delicious Japanese food. If your hesitating to book, just do it, I promise you won’t have any regrets. Walking through the door you could be entering a small restaurant in Tokyo, when ushered to tour seat you will be rewarded with a steady stream of amazing food, don’t forget the sake or 900ml beer. Be warned come with an empty stomach!

Pros:
Sashimi are fresh.
Customer service is good.
Cons:
1. Slightly over priced with the given grade of this restaurant.
2. Portion is small (5 dishes ordered for 2 ppl, not felt like anywhere near full)
3. Menu choices are limited.
4. Dishes are just ordinary, lack a bit of spark. just a bit plain in both tastes and presentation.

Love the service from this warm family business! I wanted to order lobster, the chef can customize the dish according to my preference. The business owner Mohoko even suggested me to compare to more economic… options on the menu :) very genuine and sweet. Food was definitely impressive for my first visit. will definitely come back!

I saw many good reviews, but I thought what I ordered (which was somewhat basic) wasn't that good.
I forgot to take pictures of all my food!
The chicken teriyaki took forever to come, I was ready to ask about the status but the service was not that good, they were walking past me quickly and not asking how things were.
I was not impressed with the chicken teriyaki, and was disappointed after waiting so long for it.

I was a little worried when I read the yelp warning about reviews being from the same IP address
BUT
Everything we had was top notch delicious. Every. Single. Thing. The jasmine tea and the Old Fashioned were perfect. The chicken skewers were tender and flavorful (I licked the plate). The miso soup was perfect. You may be thinking it's hard to mess that one up, but you'd be wrong, so I'm really thankful they didn't. The Chef's choice sashimi was mind blowing. It was like eating at a restaurant under the sea. Everything was so fresh and the cuts were beautiful. The Tasmanian

The atmosphere is very dark, but this makes it cosy rather than bleak. The menu is a combination of traditional and modern Japanese cuisine. They have a wide selection. The seafood was excellent. I had the tuna hand roll and the teriyaki king fish. Both were delicious. The side dishes were great too. The spinach comes in a think satay sauce that I could eat with a spoon. Well presented meals that were quickly delivered. I would recommend ordering a few dishes if you're hungery. There are many too choose from and they are fairly small. Excellent dinner spot.

Really great restaurant! I felt a bit like I was in Japan with the decor (granted, I have never been to Japan so take that with a grain of salt). Great sushi options! I ordered the Spider sushi roll and the pork gyoza, both of us which were delicious. My friend ordered two of the hand rolls and a pork bun and he enjoyed both. The restaurant is a bit pricier than those surrounding but the dishes were all really fresh and tasty. If you're trying to order heaps of food under a budget, this may not be the place for you. A cool thing about the restaurant is that you can be seated in front of the

Understated and underrated......this place is turning out genuinely good Japanese food.

The menu is expansive with lots to choose from raw, tempura, noodles, nigiri, sushi and hand rolls, salads and the kitchen specialities. And of course desserts and an excellent wine list. If you like Sake take a good look as you might find one of your favourites here too.....

We had:

*white radish salad....flavoursome starter
*hand roll tuna avocado and cucumber....perfectly rolled
*gyoza Japanese style pork dumplings...a lovely nut flavour and a mild underside roast
*pork belly kakuni with the vegetable

This place had great reviews and I was pretty underwhelmed. I stopped in on a Monday night and it was fairly busy - the place has a great ambience - so I grabbed a seat at the sushi bar since I was dining #solo.

I got the pork gyoza which I asked for steamed, but they only come fried and they were pretty average. Not a ton of flavor within the dumpling, I would not recommend. I then ordered a tuna hand roll and a prawn tempura roll, both of which were pretty good. The quality of the fish is high but just didn't walk away really loving either.

Based off of other reviews I think I may have

How many times we have been here? Probable more than 10 for the past few months. We absolutely love the calm, relaxed feeling and organised vibrate here, and not a time disappointment of visiting in regards of food and service. The place is usually busy and all the time japanese chefs busy making freshest sashimi and nigiri sushi. The sashima chef platter and sushi chef platter are must have. The wagyu beef sizzilling and udon noodles are also tasty tasty tasty.

The Sashimi Salad was definitely the highlight of my experience - a large plate of fresh sashimi topped with a mountain of salad and drizzled with the traditional miso dressing. Busshari is a rather trendy outlet with lively vibes which is great for pairs or small groups. Their menu is reasonably priced for the high quality of food being offered.

If not for the slow service, this restaurant would have rated a 5. The restaurant is so busy that the staff struggled to keep up, however the food was delicious and worth the wait. All squid and vege tempuras were served with the lightest of batters and the karaage chicken udon and pork belly were also great. My favourite will always be the pork gyozas though - some of the best I've tasted!

We discovered that the food here is all about sharing so my recommendation is to order lots of smaller dishes to share as they generaly come out one at a time. In between each little meal, have a

Consistently great food. The radish salad is so crunchy and fresh and always on the menu for me every visit. The spicy tuna roll along with the tempura calamari is mouthwatering.

This restaurant is fantastic. Probably the best sushi I've had in Sydney. Their servers are very polite and the ambiance is great for a date. I took my wife there for Valentines day and had a fantastic experience. It's pricier than your average sushi restaurant, but the food and overall experience are proportional to what you pay.

Warning: Parking is a pain, at least on weekends or special days (e.g., Valentines). Took me 25 minutes to find parking. And it wasn't close to the restaurant.

The rainbow roll is all sorts of amazingness!

Was dining with a "picky eater" which ruled out many of the things I wanted to try.. *sigh*

The tofu & seaweed salad was good and the portion was huge! We also got the grilled seafood.. tho everything arrived a bit overcooked which was disappointing.

I had the soba & somen which was super tasty.. Don't tend to see this item on many Japanese menus outside of Japan so I was pretty excited to have it.

The sashimi choices weren't great so we decided to pass.

The food came out pretty piecemeal and we actually thought they

I heard a lot of great things about Busshari, so a group of us checked to see what all the hype was about. Busshari not only lived up to the hype it surpassed it. the food was amazing and the service was great. we had a group of 7 and it couldn't have gone better.

we wanted to try a variety of things, so we did it 'family style' and shared lots of different dishes. the Kingfish Carpaccio is a must along with the Tuna and Ocean Trout Sashimi. the Wagyu Sizzling Beef is another great item to get at Busshari. they have a pretty good sake selection as well. not once were we disappointed
