We went here for my wife’s birthday and had a treat. Good food, great service and we had a nice time.
Sashimi was delicious. Fresh and some melt in your mouth moments.
Honey prawns were perfectly cooked batter amazing and sauce combo perfect.
Gyoza we’re ok. Nothing wrong. But pretty standard.
Karage - moist chicken. Good sauce but the batter was on the more crunch end of things rather than that light fluffy crispy batter you might have had elsewhere.
Teriyaki duck was the true highlight. Moist and succulent. Wish it had more teriyaki sauce though.
All in all a place I’d highly recommend

I know the Japanese don't care about veganism but I wish someone in Sydney would go all in on a pure vegan Japanese restaurant. Till then Zushi is a decent substitute.
The service was lovely and so was the venue, nothing beats a good al fresco. Especially if they crank up the heat.
I'm kinda glad we went for lunch and not on a date night. The tanked winery ladies would've ruined the Al fresco.
The vege Bento box was really nice. A bit too pricey at $27 but it did come with a Miso soup that had bonito flakes 🤔.
It had pretty much all the typical vegan dishes Sydney Japanese food can offer

I am one of your happy customers. I have been here a few times before.
This time, I was looking for a Japanese place open for dinner from 5 pm near the movie Palace Verona. And luckily I found out Zushi Surry Hills was open from 5 pm. So I booked a table for a group of 5. Our movie start time was 6:30 so we didn't have much time for dining but the Zushi team did such an efficient service. We enjoyed all the delicious foods and a bottle from their good selection of wines in 1 hour! Thank you so much. I am coming back again for sure :)

Decided to come here for lunch while in the area for something else and my friend and I weren’t disappointed. From the moment we walked in all of the staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. We sat outside in the beautiful courtyard area and the atmosphere was lovely. The food came quickly and was fresh and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.

Second visit while in Sydney for work. We got a walk in table no problem. Beautiful outdoor seating with good heating. Food was 10/10. Thoughtful and kind service without fussing but always there to help.

Probably one of the best sushi places - and that’s a big call for Sydney. A la crate menu as well as set menus if you’re feeling lazy. Highly recommend the cauliflower. Cocktails are also pretty awesome.

Great service average food, not really a Japanese restaurant, more a Japanese themed restaurant.
An avocado isn’t supposed to be brown and taste bitter, a spider roll has more than one little leg.
The gyoza were very good and the nigiri was OK, good draft beer and the Saki was OK but there are better places.

We went to this resturaunt on a Friday night, it was packed!! However we did managed to get a seat which was awesome.
The waitress didn’t really speak much English so we both struggled to understand each other which was quite frustrating to get my order out!!! But the lady was friendly who took our food order, she smiled and didn’t look frustrated at all but it was hard to understand her unfortunately... She wasn’t able to describe the food when we asked her about a specific food item.
The sushi was a little too salty, I didn’t really enjoy the food I selected.. The Gyoza was nice but

Booked and had dinner at Zushi in Surry Hills with a large group of friends. The service staff were friendly and kind and the food was delicious. We also ordered a jug of sake which surprisingly tasted like lemon cordial. My favourite dishes were the eggplant and pork gyoza. The food was made fresh and served quickly.

This place has a beautiful view on the boardwalk. The drinks were very beautiful and tasty. The food on the other hand was just average. Our bill came out to $100 which I thought was not worth average sushi and small plates. We got two drinks, two sushi rolls, sashimi platter 6 assorted fish and a small appetizer. Everyone working there is friendly and very attentive.

I loved this place! Located in a great fun area with outdoor but covered seating and it does get busy so make a reservation! Very attentive staff. Started with chili edamame which was delish (not just chili powder on the edamame- it was a spice blend with toasted sesame). Also had the corn ribs ( freaking amazing) and the honey shrimp- great flavor! Then the crab bun and cauliflower karaage. Both delicious! I had the Shinjuku Smash cocktail and suggest that you don't waste time on other drinks- this one was super refreshing and flavorful! Can't wait to go back again!

The Darlington Harbor view alone is worth the visit. Solid sashimi, but the Miso soup was divine, with just a hint of the sea,. And the Mushrooms, they were really so good, if I could I would steal the recipe and teach my local sushi place.

Very modern Japanese food place in Barangaroo water front. The variety of dishes is amazing.
Ask the manger to suggest dishes for you as the menu can be complicated to understand. Had lunch and dinner there about 10 tines over the last 2 years. Every time I dined there with friends was a surprise.
Food ingredients are very fresh. The depth of taste is multi-layered. The ambience is super as it is in the water front. The staff are very friendly. The price if us very reasonable depends on what you ordered.
Will go there again with visitors.

Spicy tuna roll here was joke. They served rolls with tuna from the can. I have never had such spicy tuna rolls in my whole life. Other dishes were also disaster. Dont come here if you want to experience delicious Japanese food. Waste of your time and money!

With a nicely egalitarian philosophy, brother and sister team Ray and Serena Ang, have adjusted all three of their restaurants to a core menu. This means you'll experience no price hike for taking in their trademark Sashimi Tacos ($20) in the luxurious surrounds of Barangaroo. With a crowning ball of yuzu granita, this tower of salmon, tuna and avocado is made to be eaten al fresco, using crisp wonton scoops, in the great outdoors.

The stylish space is designed by Koichi Takada; and like in so many other restaurants in their repertoire (Ocean Room, Ippudo), this team have employed wood to
