Sutherland Vet Clinic takes the care of your pets very seriously. For this reason, we recommend three dedicated emergency service practices that provide 24/7 patient care and specialists for your pet in emergencies. We work in conjunction with these emergency practices to ensure our patients and your pets are treated well, and the medical information is shared.
When caring for your pet undergoing surgery, our team aims first to alleviate the stress and anxiety associated with surgical procedures by providing managed pain relief for patient comfort and safety. We do this by using the most modern veterinary anaesthesia systems and equipment with advanced monitoring and highly trained veterinary and vet nursing staff.
Our in-house pathology service helps greatly in assisting to diagnose conditions as quickly as possible. Blood testing is an important diagnostic tool that provides vital information about your pet's health. We use it at our practice for general health checks, for animals that are showing signs of disease and for pre-anaesthetic screening.

I can't thank Vet Darren and the vet nurse enough for their empathy, patience in explaining everything and kindness for our Poppy dog and especially towards our children when their poppy dog needed to visit on the weekend after becoming violently ill. They were so reassuring and clearly explained our next steps for caring for her back home and answered the million questions the kids had (and especially one whom had gone into a state of anxiety about her poppy). Thankyou!!!!!!!
