Services
Here at Caringbah Vet we strive to provide the best help and care for your pet. We give professional advice and treatment for illnesses and injuries, vaccinations and flea, tick and worm control. We treat every client as an individual, as we realise that every pet and owner have different medical, emotional and financial needs.
Full examinations, extensive explanation, written quotes and above all, care are part of every consultation at Caringbah Vet Hospital. Caringbah Veterinary Hospital offers emergency service, after hours service and consultations by appointment. We cater for concerns like injuries, heartworms and diseases.
Desexing or neutering your pet is a surgical procedure that prevents them from being able to reproduce. In male pets it is commonly referred to as "castration", and in female pets as "spaying". This is the most frequent surgery performed by our vets, and generally your pet is home by the evening of surgery.
Just like humans, our pets are vulnerable to gum disease and problems with their teeth. Alarmingly, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats suffer from some form of dental disease by the age of three. When there is a build up of bacteria, food particles and saliva on the teeth plaque is formed. Plaque sticks to the tooth surface above and below the gum line and if not removed will calcify into tartar (also known as calculus).
Orthopaedic surgery encompasses any surgery that is related to bones or joints. It includes procedures such as fracture repairs, ligament repairs and spinal surgery to name a few. Our veterinarians' high level of expertise and our practice's fully equipped surgical suite allows us to perform certain orthopaedic surgical procedures that your pet may require.

Got told by the vet that he "didn't have time for people like you" after questioning his suggestion of general anaesthesia + catheter on a 10 year old dog, for what is likely a UTI. You'd think a more appropriate treatment might start with discussions around diet and possibly some anti biotics to get the ball rolling? Nope - "that's not how I operate".
Plenty of other options in the Shire.

The staff truly care about each and every patient that enters that building. Exceptionally knowledgeable. The advice given is not always the one that means more money for them, but always what is better for the pet.

My puppy dog got attacked outside the vets. The staff ran out and assisted to pull the dogs off mine. My dog was badly hurt and they stayed behind to stitch him up and make sure he was settled. He stayed for the night at the vets and the staff were amazing.

Took our dog Doris here after a couple of weeks of sneezing. The vet made her feel calm and at ease (she can get nervous at the vets). Looked her over and explained all the potential causes and how they would eliminate each potential cause etc. Great service and staff all very friendly and helpful.
