Kirrawee Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1976 by Dr Bill Ilkin with his wife, Margueritte by his side, driven by their goal to deliver the highest standard of veterinary medicine and surgery to their patients. To this day, we still carry this legacy, with his son, Dr Simon Ilkin at the helm. Together, the Ilkin family have serviced Kirrawee and the surrounding neighbourhoods for decades.

In addition to general medicine, we also offer services such as intensive and emergency care, chemotherapy, exotic pet medicine, wildlife medicine and even acupuncture. We are very grateful for all the help given by Kirrawee Veterinary Hospital. Thank you to all the very friendly staff. My pets were given a caesarean section at this hospital and the operation was very successful. After 40 minutes of resuscitation, two newborn puppies without breathing and heartbeats were successfully saved and they are now both very healthy. The doctor gave me clear instructions on how to recover from the operation, with instructions on paper, and called me next day to check that everything was okay with my pets. The hospital did not re-charge for any of the post-operative recovery

I would like to sincerely thank all the staff at Kirrawee Vet Hospital for helping us through our recent horrible experience. Our very sweet, beautiful cat, Bonnie, has had several health issues over the past… 3 months or so. The staff have been amazing in diagnosing and treating her. Sadly, it all became too much for her little body and it basically shut down. She was in a lot of pain and very distressed as her legs stopped functioning and she struggled to breathe. We were able to take her straight to the clinic when we realised and they confirmed the worst. We made the horrible decision

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING AND IGNORANT staff: I contacted this practice to obtain prescription diet dry food for my cat during covid times. I asked if they could take payment over the phone and leave it outside for me to pickup with a mask on (as I had a covid test this am). I AM ALSO FULLY VACCINATED yet THEY REFUSED TO AGREE TO THIS IN CASE I INFECT SOMEONE IN THE CARPARK (there was no one currently in their car park at that time). As a medical doctor I AM SHOCKED AT THEIR IGNORANCE REGARDING COVID TRANSMISSION (I would not have had CONTACT WITH ANYONE as I would have opened my car door OUTSIDE

Staff very happy to serve you. Always busy, we had an emergency, and we we're able to get in that afternoon. Separate waiting area's for cats & dogs which is always good. Very knowledgeable as to what is going on, with the animal concerned, gave us as many options required with costs involved, all good & bad affects that could happen with treatments. Very happy with we're were at at present treatment. Small parking options, so park out in nearby street, there is disabled parking available. Open from 7am

The staff at this amazing place are so amazing. My dog was really sick and as any pet owner would know that it's quite distressing because we feel so helpless. It goes without saying I was a complete wreck and the girls were so compassionate and comforting not only to me but to my dog as well. My best friend (dog) had to stay there to be monitored in case he had another seizure and it was so nice being reassured by the staff that he would be alright, I was able to leave there knowing that they w would treat him like one of their own and look after him. I can't recommend this veterinary hospital

What an experience! Bringing a Golden Retriever into the family was the best decision I've made by far and when he gets sick or needs a little care all you can wish for is finding the perfect Veterinarian. The care, compassion and professionalism that Henry and his wonderful team show is truly amazing. I could sit here for ages writing about how wonderful this vet hospital is.
Unfortunately, at the start of the year our kitten Percy developed an untreatable condition and there was nothing that could be done for him. The staff here supported us from the moment he got sick until his last day. It was a difficult time, but the compassion and love for animals these people have is totally unmatched, and they helped us more than they could possibly realise. Percy couldn’t have possibly received better care. He was a lucky boy.
We take our other kitties here too, and they are treated so well. We
