Services
The team at Scarborough Majellan Medical Centre consists of 10 general practitioners, 4 Practice nurses, 8 receptionists, and Vicki, the Practice Manager. The location of the Practice couldn't be better with the Practice across the road from the beach.
To ease the pain of the wait that sometimes happens in General Practice, the waiting room is furnished with comfortable lounges that encourage relaxation as well as having the more upright chairs for those who are less able-bodied.

Appointments are essential. Usually 15-minute appointments are allocated. If you require a longer appointment, please inform the receptionist when making your booking. With the exception of an emergency, if we are not informed that you require a longer appointment, it may be necessary to make another appointment to deal with all your problems.
Test results are generally not provided over the telephone due to patient confidentiality, please make a follow up appointment for test results. This will enable your Doctor to discuss the outcome of any tests. It will also allow a treatment program to be planned and a review of your medical condition, in addition to any examination and further tests to be arranged if the diagnosis is still unclear.
In virtually all situations, review of your medical condition is necessary before a repeat prescription is written. We are open 6 days a week. If you require urgent medical assistance after hours you can contact the After-Hours Service on 13 74 25 for a doctor to attend your home. This service is available from 7.00pm to 7.00am.
