Brooke Street Medical Centre is a multidisciplinary practice located in Woodend, Victoria. Our friendly and experienced doctors work alongside almost 30 nurses and staff and a team of qualified Allied Health professionals, including psychologists, physiotherapists, and exercise physiologist, to offer a range of services to help meet your family's ongoing healthcare needs.

Fit in Life is our on-site gym supporting our patient's rehabilitation and general health and wellbeing. Our exercise physiologist offers both group sessions and tailored programs. With measures in place to ensure numbers are limited and social distancing maintained, you can exercise in a safe environment.

Patient privacy is non-existent here. If you don't want your personal information told from clinicians to other patients that have nothing to do with you, I suggest you go elsewhere.
All I got from the practice manager was "I'm sorry, the clinician is upset she has done this."
Not good enough.

This medical centre is not concerned with serving the interest of the community. They are only interested in doing what is the least inconvenience to them for the most financial return. Even when they neglect to do their due diligence, they manage to project the responsibility for their mistakes on to the patient. Their customer service is appalling and the reception staff seem to hold the patients in contempt, as if they are an inconvenience to them. No bulk billing, closed over the holiday period and refusal to see patients for respiratory/cold symptoms even with a recent negative Covid test

This is the first place where I have actually trusted the doctor treating me. The doctors here genuinely care about the health of their patients. I definitely don't feel like I'm on some kind of production line of medical processing.

Well i thought i would give this practice a try as it is closer to my home. I told them i am on a pension card and asked if they bulk bill. I was told no they dont and never have and that the first visit will cost $120 and every other visit will be $90. I double checked these prices for a concession card. Why do people that dont have much money come to this clinic when there are so many others around that bulk bill? They are not that good , and you can still use the services when your not a patient (like an ultrasound) . Hungry for money but loosing patients. I am one of them.

My son 3yr old had bad croup on Saturday night. Book in to see them Sunday morning got seen for 5 mins then got charged $90 for my son but they informed me they cant charges for kids so put it under my wife's name and charged her. Do not recommend this place at all.

My family have been patients at this centre for many years. The long term medical (docs & nurses) staff are all very thorough in their consultations and follow ups. They show genuine care and concern whenever I have attended and have been on the ball with clear diagnosis or referrals in times of emergency. The clerical staff are always friendly & helpful when making appointments. I can't recommend BSMC highly enough.

I have been attending the Brooke Street Medical Centre now for more than 20 years. I have found the medical staff to be professional, experienced and committed to their patients. It is well equipped with a treatment area, x-ray, Pathology, Psychologist, Physiotherapist and more. It still feels like a personal family medical centre to me.
