We care for your pets, providing professional medical and surgical facilities in our custom designed Veterinary Hospital in Kogarah, as well as offering boarding and grooming services. For added convenience you can also pick up pet food and accessories while you're here. Our hospital is open from 8.30am to 7pm on weekdays and 9am to 3pm on Saturdays for your convenience.
During these times, you can pop in to buy something over the counter, or drop off your pet for surgery during the week. Dr Shelton graduated from Sydney University Veterinary School with first class honours in 2000. He was born and raised in the local area, however he has spent many years travelling to parts of Australia and abroad in order to further his Veterinary skills.

Services
Accidents and health emergencies can happen at any time, and our experienced team is ready to help if the unexpected happens to your pet. Emergencies are always given first priority at our vet hospital. If possible, please call ahead so that we can prepare for your pet's arrival. Poisoning- If you suspect your pet has eaten something that might be poisonous, please bring in the packaging or container to help us administer the right antidote.
Planning a holiday? We know it can be difficult to leave your pet behind, but you can be confident they will receive excellent care and plenty of affection when they stay with us. We offer comfortable boarding facilities at our Vet Hospital, so why not book your pet in for a stay with us, and you can relax knowing they will be well cared for, with lots of TLC.
Puppy Pre-school is just as important as your puppy's health. It gives your puppy the chance to develop social skills that will impact the way he or she interacts with people and other dogs for the rest of its life. All new puppies are encouraged to enrol in class shortly after the first vaccination from 8-16 weeks of age as this is considered the critical socialisation period of a puppy's life.

Dr Sheldon is awesome. Loving caring n not expensive. He even lend us he's own heat mat for us to use so green tea our turtle gets well . Dr Sheldon has even given he's time for free to look at our turtle n didn't charge us for giving green tea needle shots . I won't change vets . Very happy with dr Sheldon love for my turtle green tea

Dr Shelton and his staff were fantastic. They are all very caring and knowledgeable. They are very understanding of not only my pets needs but mine too. They took the time to explain everything that was needed to be done to help my dog and treat him accordingly. I would highly recommend Princes Hwy Vet for all your fur babies needs.

I own two West Highland White Terriers and rate this clinic so highly that I continue to use them exclusively despite now living 10 km away. Dr Shelton Smith has provided the highest level of care and advice - not just in terms of treatment but also preventative care. He has also been able to identify underlying issues with the dogs that were not readily apparent - coming up with successful treatment options that certainly alleviated problems and added to their quality of life. The staff here are very friendly and are clearly animal lovers. I can't recommend this place highly enough

I am so grateful to him for looking after my cat for emergency surgery and I am so glad I transferred my cat here (we don’t live locally), as the communication, reassurance and professionalism was OUTSTANDING. The pricing is extremely reasonable and the care for animals is 5 star.

Ben is the only vet I will be taking my kids too (2 x cavoodles) one had her crucial ligament done 6 weeks ago Ben went beyond and also fixed other things while she was under anesthetic .. the stitching was amazing .. fantastic job Thank you ... Reasonable pricing and everyone is wonderful and caring
